Wonder if NJ fans are ready to run Brodeur out after his first two starts?

0-1-1, 9 GA, 5.29 GAA, .813 SV%.

Turco:

0-1-1, 7GA, 3.41 GAA, .896 SV%

Not stellar, by still only two games into the season.

p.s. the Great Niemi let in a good deal of soft goals last season...just like every goaltender does, it just all depends on perception of the player.
Let them all whine and want Crawford in. Turco is fine. Yes, he let in a soft goal, but the other two weren't his fault, the D let him down.

For some reason, people are forgetting, this is essentially a new team learning to gel on the fly. These linemates are just learning tendencies now. Kaner backpassing to the D...who jumped off the ice for a change.

Passes going through the slot...no one even close to the puck.

Also, that ice Saturday night had to be the worst ice yet. the puck was bouncing all over. It was to be expected with the ceremony and 80 degree heat outside.

two games in and all hope is lost. When this Hawks team finally starts getting their rhythm...watch out!

The best line the first two games has been the 4th liners...why, they have been working together for a pretty long time. Skille and Dowell have years with each other in Rockford. Stalberg has one job...skate.

Nothing fancy there.

The Cup is now gone and the Hawks can get to business.

Tonight is the start of a great run for the Hawks!
This fanbase sure as hell loves to hate and complain. The Hawks could win the Cup for the next 10 straight years and people would still be bitching and moaning like there's no tomorrow. And I am not talking about just this place, this is one of the most level-headed places there is, but all other places especially the O-boards, HFboards and I imagine 300 level is also full of whine.
Let's hit the rewind button to game 4 against Philly. You were saying some wine and cheese statements. It happens. Every site has people that wear their fandom on their collective sleeves.

Let's see how the Hawks rebound in Buffalo.

I readily admit I was doom & gloom during the course of the Cup run, but you won't see me whine and moan about stupid shit TWO fucking games into the new season. Some geniuses have already written off players based on the pre-season games. They get a hard-on for one player and then get an irrational hate for another player. The hate goes so strong that they hope for that player to fail, what the hell is that about, a fan of a team hopes for a player on it to fail? It does not make any sense, unless they see it as a chance for an ego-boost and can then be all "I told you so".
I can't believe this shit, 2 - TWO - games in and people are wanting to put Crawford in??? WTF???? If Crawford had been in there for that, the final would have been 5+ to 2 easy. He is slow and makes bad decisions.

The Hawks D looks lost right now...honestly Hammer looks indecisive with the puck, Leddy is a 19 year old kid, and I really do not know what to say about Scott, bad luck he tripped, but his puck decisions arent smart. Even Seabs and Keith dont look sure of themselves right now. Oh wait, lets blame it on the Goalie like we did last year.

The O has to put away the puck when they have their chances. And they are passign to each others feet again, vice to the fricking stick.

OH WAIT, WE'RE 2 GAMES IN TO THE SEASON. Give me a break. They won the cup last year so they should look like Detroit of the late 90s or Edmonton of the past, and just come out steamrolling everyone.
While I agree that the calls for Crawford are premature, the game came down to one thing. Osgood outplayed Turco. That's it. The Hawks didn't give up many scoring chances at all. They outchanced Detroit and outplayed them most of the night. If Crawford had been in the net, it wouldn't have been 5+ to 2...because Detroit just didn't have that many scoring chances. How many tough saves did Turco have to make? Two? Come on, let's try and be objective here. I like Turco too, but it's pretty difficult to argue that he wasn't one of the worst Hawks on the last night. Hell, even he admitted as much after the game.

And he was the best Hawk against the Avs, so now what? We're two games into the season and people really need to slow the **** down. This team is still trying to find its identity and cohesiveness while battling one significant and one minor injury already. If nothing else they proved they can still skate with a fully loaded Wings team on Saturday. Turco, to be honest, is the least of my concerns.

This is what I don't get. What do you have to gain as a fan from this? Stahlberg is the number one whipping boy that I can see so far and I have no idea why.

I choose not to read GDT's after losses or wins because people are posting out of their ass, but really? Stalberg? Stalberg, Dowell, and Skille were flying on Saturday. Eh, looking for a W tonight from the boys.

My only complaint about Saturday is it seems the passing was crisp and tape to tape...right to the Red Wings players.

Thus, I hope they worked on it.

Other than that there's 80 more games to go...i'm not worried.
