Wonder if NJ fans are ready to run Brodeur out after his first two starts?
0-1-1, 9 GA, 5.29 GAA, .813 SV%.
Turco:
0-1-1, 7GA, 3.41 GAA, .896 SV%
Not stellar, by still only two games into the season.
p.s. the Great Niemi let in a good deal of soft goals last season...just like every goaltender does, it just all depends on perception of the player.
Let them all whine and want Crawford in. Turco is fine. Yes, he let in a soft goal, but the other two weren't his fault, the D let him down.
For some reason, people are forgetting, this is essentially a new team learning to gel on the fly. These linemates are just learning tendencies now. Kaner backpassing to the D...who jumped off the ice for a change.
Passes going through the slot...no one even close to the puck.
Also, that ice Saturday night had to be the worst ice yet. the puck was bouncing all over. It was to be expected with the ceremony and 80 degree heat outside.
two games in and all hope is lost. When this Hawks team finally starts getting their rhythm...watch out!
The best line the first two games has been the 4th liners...why, they have been working together for a pretty long time. Skille and Dowell have years with each other in Rockford. Stalberg has one job...skate.
Nothing fancy there.
The Cup is now gone and the Hawks can get to business.
Tonight is the start of a great run for the Hawks!
