I know, I was threatened with a ban last week when I had the nerve to suggest that Turco lets in soft goals.
You were tolling. As you are with this. You add nothing to this board and I have no problem silencing you. Reply back and call me a Dick again like you did last time troll. See where it gets you.

X2

Soup and Seabs did not get booed.

Yes i did hear a little booing at the end of the game and that was very disappointing and unfortunate. I had actually forgotten about that part till i just read it.
I guess I'll just put myself in the minority category I enjoyed the game (not the outcome but you can't win 82 games). I thought the boys played pretty well against a good Detroilet team again. We had several opportunities to win this game and simply didn't put the puck past Osgood. Instead of talking about how this guy or that guy sucked and didn't finish I'll just say that Osgood stole this game for Detroilet and remain optimistic.
I too enjoyed the game. They showed despite massive turnover they still have enough while being shorthanded to skate with a full strength Wings team that many are picking to win the division and maybe more. IMO a lot of positives can be taken from this game. Some stuff needs to be fixed obviously and getting Sharp and Soupy back will without a doubt improve their chances.

One thing that would intrigue me is to see if they could a 2nd/3rd line center for Brouwer.

Who was the person leading up to the playoffs last year...that "told us so"....that the Hawks were going to bow out early, since they "didnt beat any playoff teams" after the olympic break?

It happened in the west end.

Sorry to burst your bubbles.

There were boos.

Maybe there were some cows in attendance, and it was "moos" I heard.

If true, that's really unfortunate and disappointing. Surprising? In Chicago, not really. To boo ANY player who was on that ice for the SC banner raising who was a member of the SC-winning season team is an abomination. Period. So fucking low-rent I can't even wrap my mind around it. After a 49-year drought? Fucktards who didn't deserve to be there in that most historic of moments IMO.

I taped the ceremony and just watched it. Something just occurred to me ... unless the vodka from yesterday is still effecting me, i swear i don't recall Scotty being introduced, just Stan. Anybody have any insight on that?

And Pat Foley doing the broadcast made me wonder if his name is on the Cup. Anybody know? what About Wideman? Wittenberg? Honda? Pellico? Just curious.

You're a moron. You realize the only point the Hawks have gotten this season is because of Turco, yes?
Crawford is/was horrible Sonny. Having said that, if Turdo keeps giving up bad game winners the hawks should give Crawford a chance. Either way you have to bring the Crawford experiment to a head.

Im so glad I went to Hawkeye's instead. The crowd was decent and lively, but at least I got a good seat in front of the big screen... and then the bachelorette party showed up!

Luckily for us and them that there is what looks to be a stripper pole inside the bar.

Didn't hear any boos of the players.... but we did boo Bettman pretty loud, though...

We had plenty of chances(PPs) to win this game. Regardless of the percentages, you have to capitalize when given that many chances. Turco has to save the second and the third goal... No excuses, they were extremely soft. I hope that game wasn't a sign of things to come. If it is, I sure hope Crawford can be our Niemi of last year.

Bolland needs to get better. He has looked pretty bad so far in preseason and the first two games. Pisani should be on the fourth line, and Skille should be moved up... Skille has been one of our better forwards, and he's getting less than 10 minutes a night? Pisani has not impressed me AT ALL. Brouwer has been invisible, but considering the performance of his linemates, that is not surprising at all. Our fourth line has outplayed both our second and third lines at even strength over the first two games. That should tell you something Q.

Scott...well....when we play teams like Detroit, Scott should be in the fucking pressbox. Period. I'm hoping Scott isn't Q's new Matt Walker. Bolland shouldn't be on the point on the PP. Ridiculous. Q has just as much work to do as our players. ;)

This should have been a 2-1 Hawks victory. Only the second game, and obviously still lots of room for improvement. Played a pretty good game overall though.

ROFL two games and he's already being called Turdo?? I've seen you post this on every forum I post on. Congrats on originality.

Whats funny is how short peoples memories are because had it not been for Turco the Avs

would have won about 6-2 in game one. He was the only reason we got a point. The guys has ONE "off" game and people are calling for Crawford and making up less than flattering nick names. Its unbelievable.

This fanbase sure as hell loves to hate and complain. The Hawks could win the Cup for the next 10 straight years and people would still be bitching and moaning like there's no tomorrow. And I am not talking about just this place, this is one of the most level-headed places there is, but all other places especially the O-boards, HFboards and I imagine 300 level is also full of whine.

I can't believe this shit, 2 - TWO - games in and people are wanting to put Crawford in??? WTF???? If Crawford had been in there for that, the final would have been 5+ to 2 easy. He is slow and makes bad decisions.

The Hawks D looks lost right now...honestly Hammer looks indecisive with the puck, Leddy is a 19 year old kid, and I really do not know what to say about Scott, bad luck he tripped, but his puck decisions arent smart. Even Seabs and Keith dont look sure of themselves right now. Oh wait, lets blame it on the Goalie like we did last year.

The O has to put away the puck when they have their chances. And they are passign to each others feet again, vice to the fricking stick.

OH WAIT, WE'RE 2 GAMES IN TO THE SEASON. Give me a break. They won the cup last year so they should look like Detroit of the late 90s or Edmonton of the past, and just come out steamrolling everyone.

Wonder if NJ fans are ready to run Brodeur out after his first two starts?

0-1-1, 9 GA, 5.29 GAA, .813 SV%.

Turco:

0-1-1, 7GA, 3.41 GAA, .896 SV%

Not stellar, by still only two games into the season.

p.s. the Great Niemi let in a good deal of soft goals last season...just like every goaltender does, it just all depends on perception of the player.
