I don't listen to any "Chicago Sports" talk radio as most of it is from guys who have no fucking clue about hockey; and since I don't like Chicago Baseball or Basketball and there really isn't anything to talk about for the Bears, I plug in the old Ipod and listen to that on my drives.

Yup.

In the Car I listen to NHL 204 on Sirius.....

They are no weaker than New York.

That's what it has to do with fucking Saturday night.

Or the fucking fact they only gave up 22 shots on Friday night.

Once again I'll do the fucking research for you.

NYR 31 goals FOR

Wild 26 goals FOR

Wow 5 goal differential.

The Hawks need to consistently show they can keep the opposing team's shots down - not just a game here or there. It starts with clearing the puck out of our zone - I don't think the heavens are going to part with Campbell back tonight like you think. It's his first game back and his minutes will be limited.

Actually it starts with puck possession, but my 15 year old can tell you that.

And I don't think the heavens are going to part tonight either, but I do think the team will gain confidence with him back.

Unlike you Fluff I know what the **** im talking about "most" of the time.

What does Saturday's game have to do with tonight? Minnesota had a weak offense. I say 4-3 Hawks in OT tonight.

Minnesota had/has one of the best early season PPs, and the Hawks did a decent job controlling the kill.

Cullen has been a monster on the PP, and that evening he was ineffective almost everywhere besides the faceoff dot.

The Wild also made up for key injuries to:

  • Pierre-Marc Bouchard
  • Cam Barker
  • Guillaume Latendresse
  • Antti Miettinen

Saturday was the best played defensive Hawks game all year against a very good (and somewhat injured) Minny 1st line.

Sometimes you do and I agree with you - usually on the hockey front. Non-hockey and political subjects we have nothing in common it appears.

True - let's see them do it again though. We've had a couple games this year where we've limited the opposition to a small number of shots and then followed it up with letting 35-40 the next game. I just want to see the team return close to last year's form.

From the Rangers website:

Injuries

* Vinny Prospal has missed nine games with a knee injury.

* Chris Drury has missed six games with a broken finger.

* Marian Gaborik has missed six games with a shoulder injury

* Derek Boogaard has missed one game with a hand infection.

* The Rangers have lost 26 total man-games to injuries or illness this season.

That's a serious chunk (sans Boogaard) of offensive help sitting.

You have Callahan and Dubinsky picking up the load, and Anisimov playing above average.

Avery has been decent in the early going, but I cannot see that level of play continuing either.

Rozsival may be their best D man, so technically on paper-- I'm not worried.

Goaltending is what the Rangers would have the upper hand on tonight. Even with Hossa sidelined, the return of Campbell will improve the offensive presence immediately.

Drop the puck.

He must have a yeast infection then.

Even Darth Vader could be saved from the Dark Side.

But, um, didn't he have to die (or be on the verge of death) to be saved from the Dark Side?

I think Fluff simply has a negative outlook on most everything. And he has a tendency to overlook facts, such as the fact that the Wild were #1 in the NHL on the power play when the Hawks played them. Now they're second. I don't think they're any less of an NHL team than the Rangers are.

It also doesn't surprise me that Kerfuffle would listen to the Score, or like Mike North. Sports radio generally spouts nothing but jealous hatred of athletes, and half-truths or lies. And Mike North is one of the most ignorant blowhards you'll ever hear act like an expert on sports. He's not funny in the least to me because I understand his game. He wants to puff himself up by trying to tear down the athletes he's talking about. That's not the least bit admirable, at least not to me.

I find it funny that when JT was knocked silly last year by Willie did Kaner walk up and tell the "pussy to get back on the ice and play".

When Mitchell clocked Toews last year, it was rumored that Kane said to JT "Hey asshole, now you know how that Buffalo cabbie was feeling".

I never believed that rumor.

The worst part about North other than being an arrogant jagoff is that he knows absolutely NOTHING about the game. In 14 years at the UC every game, seeing most of the "celebrity" type people there after many of the games there, I saw North once. About three years ago just after the death and the season started. I asked him, "Are you going to join the bandwagon now Mike".... He replied, "I've always been here", and "Hey I'm at least trying".... To what, know something about the game??? ******.

Ouch.... I believe JT was asking him what happened on the ice as no one was watching it. McCreary was 20ft away conveniently looking the other way.
