Agreed on all points, Rosh. I'd rather see Keith, for example, kick it back to a wing instead of forcing a shot that has little to no chance of going through. I know it's easier said than done from the seat of my couch but I think they need to change the way the point men are getting pucks to the net.

On the road and the team takes 3 offensive zone penalties in the first period.

If they can move Bolland and Brouwer they should.

Bolland is a waste at 3.375million dollars. He does nothing. 3pts in 16gms. 42.2% on faceoffs.

I've tried liking the guy....but he's brutal.

Brouwer for 1mil doesnt bother me that much, but with him being a RFA and guys like Beach, Morin, etc in the fold, I wouldnt resign him for more than that 1mil.

Move both of those 2 and try to get a real 2nd line center.

I don't know, I thought Toews and Sharp were pretty good tonight. Hossa hasn't looked the same since he came back and Kane looked like he had a hot date after the game. And agreed. The best thing about this is that they play again tomorrow, no time to think about it. Obviously the effort needs to be a lot better.

Going to get heat from some board members for this but Kane has been frustrating to watch many times so far this year. Frankly I haven't been impressed with him very much. Like I said it doesn't help when Q is bouncing him around and using him in the LW (which is dumb) but still..there isn't the same jump in his game as there appreared to be last year. I don't know the kid and shouldn't assume this. But looks to me like he is playing with an ego out there that is different from the one the last 2 years. He has been watching and admiring his passes a few times this year which I never saw from him last. Hate to say it but the kid appears to be getting too cocky out there sometimes. Just doesn't look like the same player to me. I may be looking into it too much though..I like doing that.

I see guys put forth more effort at rat hockey and men's league games, than a lot of these guys have been giving this season. Tonight was a perfect example. For once, the team we played came out and took it to us. Good. Hawks deserved nothing less than the 7-2 ass kicking they got.

I don't give a **** how many points Kane has, he looks like he's drunk out there, and like he just doesn't give a ****. Those last four shifts from him in the third period were fucking disgraceful. Takes an offensive zone hooking penalty because he lost the puck and didn't feel like moving his feet to regain possession. Fucking COASTS back into our zone from the center line on that fourth goal, when he could have got back and prevented that guy from tapping the puck into the net. Then that lazy, half ass pass he gives Hammer, where all Hammer can do is try and get the puck out of the zone.

Our forwards have been coasting like that a lot this year. The effort to play two-way hockey just isn't there for most of these guys. How many odd-man rushes did we give up tonight? Fifteen? How many offensive zone penalties tonight? All lazy stick penalties too.

Turco was fucking terrible tonight, just like everyone else, but it didn't matter. The team was never in this game. We set the tone early with those penalties.

I've never seen this team just up and fold like they did tonight. Truly pathetic and embarrassing. Too bad we have a back to back tomorrow night. I think a bag skate is in order. I'm with TCD. I'm getting a feeling that this team is just running around with this huge sense of entitlement. Haviland summed up the season with his interview before the third period started, basically calling out the team's effort and desire to win battles and win games. It's what a lot of us have been saying all season.

bla bla bla Kane sucks, bla bla bla...

Don't mention the turn overs that actually caused goals.

Hjarlmarsson had a horrible game. 2 turn overs leading to goals. Brouwer had a horrible game, first turn over leading to a goal.

Toews, Hossa, Sharp all had questionable games. Bolland, was he on the ice. Boynton-Cullimore as a pair? One ice for two goals late? Duncan Keith giving up the puck on the first shift?

Yea go back to getting sick of Kane. wow....

Team had a bad night without a doubt but wow.

Never seen this team have a game like this before? Minnesota last year? Vancouver game one of the Semi's...

I haven't been impressed with ANYONE on this team so far, minus Hossa's PRE injury. I won't SINGLE out any of them because you win as a team and lose as a team.

The Team is FRUSTRATING TO WATCH THIS YEAR>

I don't buy the entitlement bullshit, or the they don't care bullshit. They are at a loss. Now if Q would leave the lines alone, put the fucking D pairs back and just let them figure it out? Who knows.

Toews, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, must all be "cocky" because NONE OF THEM ARE LEADING THEIR TEAM.

And I will say other than Chemistry the biggest issue this team lost was it's PHYSICALITY. That was more than evident tonight just as it has been on many nights. Calgary was far more physical tonight. Whether it lack of effort, preparation or what, the Hawks did not appear to be ready.

Tomorrows game should say a lot. Will they fold up? Against a Canuck team sitting there waiting for them, after a very physical game tonight?

Your best players need to play their best and honestly NONE OF THEM ARE.

Scary scary thought, Ron.

I think the Canucks are smelling blood and are going to come out as such.... we don't have buff in front of the net riling up Luon6o, we don't have Ladd flying around agitating pukes like Kesler. We don't have Eager to knock out Bieksa's teeth either...

It looks and smells like a loss with how the Nucks are playing and how well the Sedin sisters are playing together.

.... unlike the last few games, I'm not going to be disappointed if John Scott is dressed for this one...

The entire team sucked. Yes, that includes Kane. So why is it a problem if I voice my displeasure with his play? I just thought he had one of the worst games I've ever seen him play, as far as effort is concerned. Toews was nowhere to be found the entire game, and seemed disinterested and apathetic. He was not the hard working guy we grew accustomed to seeing the last few years... Several times I watched him just give up on the puck. Stalberg was busting his balls in the corners, Kane is even down there, and Toews is floating around the top of the circles... not in the offense at all.

Brouwer had a horrible game, but that's really nothing new. He's been shit since he took time off at the end of the regular season last year. He lost something in that time off and he still hasn't found whatever it is he lost. Kopecky is back to being the player I couldn't stand most of last season. Bolland was invisible? Welcome to the 2010-2011 season... I can think of one game he was even remotely noticeable in this season. Boynton doesn't belong on this roster, or playing half the minutes he is playing. No surprise that he sucks.. Cullimore is a borderline AHL player at this point. Again, it isn't a surprise when these guys suck. It's a surprise when they play well.

Kane is paid like a superstar, as are several guys on this team as of this season. THEY are the reason we lost so many core players. They are being paid big money now to perform. Kane and Toews are the highest paid forwards on this team. Is it WRONG to expect more out of every single one of them? You take big money contracts full well knowing the situation with the salary cap, you better damn well live up to those contracts. Your buddies are in Atlanta, Edmonton, and Toronto because you got paid. Now start earning the fucking dollars.

I didn't say I've never seen the team have a game like this. We've seen them shit the bed before, especially this season. I said I've never seen this team just flat out GIVE UP at the end of the game like they did tonight. These guys were in the hotel rooms with six minutes still left in the game. That is UNACCEPTABLE. I hate to say it Toews, but that's what teams that lack leadership and character do in that situation.

Keith falls into paragraph three. A guy that got a massive raise, that, right now, doesn't deserve any of it. Though, I can't blame Keith for sucking that much. Lidstrom would look like shit playing with Boynton too. I mean, what the **** Q?

This team is soft to the "core".

I mentioned this last year and was crucified for saying it. But you're not imagining it TCD. I saw signs of this problem last year. This year, it's really manifesting itself. As a matter of fact, I saw this in his rookie year...so much so that I resisted the urge of putting his name/number on my home sweater. Glad I had #19 put on there instead....

Aw, geez, Ron...wake up. This has been a CHRONIC problem most of this season. It's not just one game here and there. I love this team, and will always root for it. But we're calling a spade a spade.....

Last night game was much worse than any game so far this year. This was beyond the chronic problem of taking a couple shifts off and giving up just enough goals to lose. They took the whole game off.

As luck would have it, I missed most of last nights "effort". Looking at last nights event summary, the Hawks were credited with 3 hits. Now that's not one period but the entire game. Since when did Brian Boitano become one of the Killer B's? That's what Brian Boitano would do.

I missed the game as well and from the sounds of it I'll be hitting delete on the DVR when I get home.

I did however catch the post game and Troy Murray sounded like he was going to boil over.

I think it was similar to the first Oiler game at the UC, only that one was worse as it was at home.

It''s going to be up and down all season apparently.

Stanley Cup Champs + Salary Cap, and I understand somewhat. I'm still trying to believe our best players will play their best, but I'm also still waiting for it.

Again singling any of them out is just dumb. As a TEAM they are not playing well.

That's why they lost. I said it during the game, after the game and now, we are too FUCKING SOFT! Calgary took the body. On the boards and in open ice.

They crowded the Hawks and that's all she wrote. That with the give away machines and a goalie allowing everything by him, and you lose.

Eric, good call.

Chronic? Of the 10 losses 7 have been by one goal. Now if you can find another game other than the first Edmonton game at the UC, maybe I'll think about agreeing with you.

The Ducks had won 6 in a row.

He says it in his post yet in the first one he singles out Kane. Funny fucking shit.

Even in the second he singles out Kane, while admitting the rest are just like him. HAHA!!!!
