with Hossa gone, does Kopecky still get top minutes and PP time? Or maybe Skille can get more than 7 minutes a night since they basically have identical production this year. (I'd take Jack's 10pts and +6 rating to Kopecky's 11pts and -9 rating any day)

I thought Skille still sucked and was the scqape goat for all the team's problems?

Just win.

I want another good night for our "core" players and a good effort from the role players. .

I am expecting a solid game tonight without Hossa in the lineup. I am a little worried about Crawford to be honest though. Not that I think he will suck but I think he will face more rubber than he has in the last couple games. Craws been great but so has team defense the last few games. Something tells me the game tonight will be much more of an open affair. Lots of shots from both sides. We will see though I am always wrong.

Love Crawford to death but something inside me says Turco should have got the call tonight.

I have to give Janssen some credit for having at least some brain cells and keeping Scott close.

Notice when Scott gets his left loose and tries to push off and create separation to take advantage of his reach, Janssen pulls himself in close, smart move by him.

Edge to Scott.... I am FUCKING PISSED the refs sent them off before the faceoff in the third.... Scott would have ended that puke.

Crazy ass hockey game. Going to be a few of those a year. Hawks scored a thwack load of goals so thats a positive.

Sort of felt like that was going to be a shoot up. So I am not surprised by the scoreboard to be honest. CRAZY ASS GAME THOUGH!!! 2 points is all that matters. And we have ourselves a little win streak folks. Good stuff.

I wanted to see Jannsen and Scott have a round 2 last night. Dang refs stopped it before it began. I wonder how Scott would have matched up against Probert? Both have unique fighting styles. Scott is really slow and seems to rely on his arm length and height and brute force, whereas Probie had a right hook that was like a trip hammer at times.

I think Probert would have dominated Scott. Scott is a good fighter but even he admitted his "secret" is his arm length. I think Scott might be lacking the skill to go against the enforcers of the late 80s early 90s.

I don't even know what Scott did to get the unsportsmanlike anyways... it looks like Janssen was instigating it.

I dont agree with what the refs did in that situation. They were jawing at each other and that's it.

4-0 isn't it?

Or did they lose the game he fought Winchester?

Stortini, Westgarth and Janssen were all wins I believe.

I'm not sure, I was too lazy.... I mean busy at work to look them up on hockey fights and crosscheck it with the schedule. Only way I could think of.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
While our offense showed up in spades (Kotex with a 4-point night?), that fact that we almost blew a 4-goal lead is still disturbing, and it's not like Crawford can shoulder all of the blame.

Still, a win is a win is a win and I'm happy. We only seemed to mail in half of the 3rd at home rather than the full period.

Plus, Kane...with a Roughing? When does THAT happen?

While that's not a good thing, the way I look at it that's not a new development, they've been bad with leads in the 3rd all year so far. The silver lining here is this time they managed to stop the bleeding and hold on before it cost them the game. It's not pretty, but it's progress in small steps.

For a guy with a long arm length he sure has a good right jab though. And looks to me that he has an iron jaw and it almost appears to look like he enjoys getting punched. Not sure if I have really seen that jaw truely tested yet though. But you are probably right Probert was just the full package when it came to fights. Strong on his skates too very hard to know the guy off them.

Whta the hell has become of post game talks. It's been all about Scott lately. Weird.
