For a guy with a long arm length he sure has a good right jab though. And looks to me that he has an iron jaw and it almost appears to look like he enjoys getting punched. Not sure if I have really seen that jaw truely tested yet though. But you are probably right Probert was just the full package when it came to fights. Strong on his skates too very hard to know the guy off them.

Whta the hell has become of post game talks. It's been all about Scott lately. Weird.

Stu's subliminal messaging is working, we all love John Scott.

I said when he was signed you guys would all bag on him until he kicked someone's ass. Not only that but he hasn't played awful in his few games back after the scratches... and WTF was with a Kane/Scott breakaway last night?

I haven't noticed Scott's name in the "get Boynton/Cullimore off this team" discussions any more.... how odd.............................................................

12 goals, 3 fights? Good 'ole Chuck Norris Division hockey!

**** the Blues but I have to wonder why Conklin wasn't pulled? Though Halak wasn't even on the becnch, is he injured?

A nice tred developing is goals coming after big hits. Brouwer in ANA, and Morin last night.

A small guy can get inside a big guy and negate the reach advantage, Jansen did that quite well last night to be honest. If he would have stayed on Scott's outside he would have been wrecked.

Mirasty does a good job throwing a few weak rights but when he's tied up with Boogaard and gets his left free he really unloads. After that.... he uses his small size to his advantage. Still at 5'9" stepping up to a 6'8" goon.... takes some stones man.

That's because Scott was in the pressbox for a good while, let him play a few games and he'll be brought up as one of the useless plugs again, which he is. So the guy beat up some other equally useless guy, whoop-de-fucking-doo. Big deal, he brings nothing hockey-wise to the table and odds are he will hurt the team more than he will help it. Goons that can nothing else than fight are utterly useless on a team.

The Stars on this team such as Kane, Toews, Sharp, ect, like him in the line up. So I guess if you can convince those guys, the ones who actually play on the team your theory, it might be valid.

I will add he does nothing to hurt the 4th line as long as that's where Q puts him. He is not a good defender in my opinion and I'm assuming Q's since he hasn't had him back on Defense.

Meh, I would still prefer a player like Eager being the "goon", sure he might not win every fight, but at least he could chip in with a few goals and cause some havoc in the opponents end.

You must have missed it last year. Eager didnt have one fight after he came back. Why, because one more concussion his career is most likely over.

Agreed. John Scott is what he is....A goon.

He is there to counter the other teams goon.

As long as he continues to get limited ice time, I don't see where he is hurting the team much.

Wait.... you mean they like him because he does what he was brought here to do for league minimum? Prevent shenanigans from getting out of hand and firing his team up when he pounds someone into a bloody pulp?

You MUST have forgotten purple text!!

What did the players say about his fight against Westgarth, RK?
