Eww... no hossa. So basically it's all going to be upto the top line tonight. Can't really expect much out of the second with a guy playing his first game for the hawks and maybe even his first at Center in the NHL?

BIckell-Bolland-Pissani... well anything they get is always good. 4th line... well let's just hope they can win a fight or two.

We've been playing without Hossa for most of the season. Since game seven or so. Guy started out on fire for the first seven games, then goes seven straight games without a point. Next seven games he racks up seven points, then he's out for a month. Eleven points in seventeen games since coming back. He has been held without a point in 20/38 games. Included in those 20 games, is 7 straight games without a point and twice that he's gone 3 straight games without a point.

Yeah. Anyone missing Havlat yet?

Hossa, with how he's been playing, won't be missed tonight.

Funny I brought up the Havlat argument the other day.

Since traded...

Havlat has played 94% of the Wild games.

Hossa has played 59% fo the Hawk games.

Havlats "last" surgery corrected the shoulder for good. The Hawks knew this when they let him go for Hossa. The Hawks ALSO knew Hossa needed surgery and would miss a good portion of that season.

Hossa when healthy is definitely the better player. But, when in his 4000 year contract will he be healthy?

Yeah, and we've kinda sucked without him, now we are without him, and have a guy who's never played as a hawk, or as a center in the nhl, as our 2nd line center in a must win game. And if you say it isn't a must win. WEll... **** you, they ALL are from here on out.

We're actually 9-5-1 without Hossa, unless I missed a game going through them.

I should have said, we've actually sucked all year... with or without him... Yeah I said it.

And the reason why it's worse with him in the lineup is because he's still injured or whatever, and they lean on him like he's healthy and then they suck. It's like being down a player. With him out, at least they don't have to worry about him I guess.

That's my point. I'd rather have him sit, if he's going to play like he has been playing. Also, the Hawks record is better without him in the lineup... which is quite strange.

Like I said, I think it's from not having to worry about covering him, or him being less effective because not healthy... that sort of thing, without him in the lineup at less than 100% they are able to focus on their roles better.

Much like I said after the Frolik trade, I hope he plays center and I hope it works out, it will force a lot of people back to natural positions and allow them to concentrate on their roles better.

So the 2nd line has a newcomer playing center that is normally a right wing with a right wing that's normally a left wing. To me, it makes more sense to keep Sharp at center and slide Folik into Hossa's vacated right side with Kopecky on the left.

The better goalie is not starting in favor of Turco against his old team.

And then it's onto Phoenix for the 3rd game in 4 days.

Seems to be a recipe for disaster.

Only since July 1, 2009....

In a vacuum Hossa may be the better player but not on the Hawks IMO. Especially since it's Year 2 and they still haven't found a center to play with him.

If I had to pick between Turco tonight or tomorrow, I pick tonight. It only makes sense.

Yup. Havlat-Bolland-Ladd were our top line. Bolland and Havlat had excellent chemistry.

On a side not I recieved my playoff invoice today. Due March 11th.

**** you Hawks.

You have a choice of what you want, roll it into next year or get you money back.

We will be at the Upper Deck in Scottsdale for the game tonight. We will be meeting up with Mill and Mrs. Mill.

Hope to see a good game tonight.

but... but... the prices were supposed to be adjusting according to the product on the ice? Last year they went way up because the team was way better... so this team is slightly better than last year?
