Bullshit! The refs didn't screw anyone. The Hawks choked away another game with their sackless play.

Pisanai was NOT elbowed. It didn't even deserve two minutes.

That was Keith's stick that deflected the puck in.

Don't worry, though. I'm sure that the next seven months will be spent blaming everyone except for who should be blamed.

I totally agree. I ref youth hockey and I wouldn't have even called a penalty on that play. His arm was tucked in the entire time. If it leaves his side, its after contact and I honestly think the angle they showed made it look worse than it was. If Pisani isn't injured on the play from the whiplash, I can guarantee you they don't even call a penalty on that play. Plus, they didn't even call elbowing! They fucking called interference, which is a chickenshit way for a ref to say "I didn't see anything, but the guy got hurt, so I had to call something."

You take hits like that out of the sport and I'll find another sport to watch because they should just change the name from hockey to pussy.

Q during his presser did not see a call-up for Saturday. Hossa in the line up? Hendry and Scott skating on the 4th line? Boynton on D?

Perhaps Scott and skating deserves purple.

I won't be watching OR DVRing this game. Just not worth the frustration. They're going to lose tomorrow night too. Especially if we've got Hendry and Scott playing forward, and Boynton on defense. Pathetic.

Good thing they won the MOTHER FUCKING CUP eh.......

Appears our fans are spoiled. Wonder who watched this team 5 years ago.... Oh I long for the days we completely sucked.

I watched the first period of most games, and then turned it off out of disgust most of the time. I'm about there with this team too. We are just completely incapable of playing sixty minutes of hockey. We are finding new ways to lose every night. It has nothing to do with talent either. I wish I knew what it was, and I'm sure the team wishes they knew too. It's like they're just not hungry. Or, as Captain Serious says, "We don't hate to lose enough."

Too each his own. I watched and went to all the games because that's what fans do. I can't even remember ever leaving a game early either. And man some of those seasons were, um really bad. 03 I think they won 20 games. Well losing half your team year over year apparently does something to the team. Doesn't mean I won't stop watching them. Or call them "sackless" or what was the other one "gutless pukes".... It is what it is. Not to mention the best game in the world at the same time.

Oh and they happened to win the Cup too. So nothing could really bend me out of shape that much. I'm interested in seeing what team shows up tomorrow night. 2pts out of a playoff spot with 30 games left isn't enough for me to cry like a little fucking girl.

I sure do wish the Officiating would correct itself accross the league though. That is getting very depressing. Instead of getting better it's actually gotten worse. And I didn't know that was possible. Not just where the Hawks are concerned but this is the 3rd game out of 4 that have had MORE than questionable calls, directly effecting the momentum of a game.

Two of those games goals were in question. One of them it cost a +2 differential.

I also know no matter what for the rest of my life time I will see Chicago Blackhawks 2010 Stanley Cup Champs.....

And I beg to differ. It is talent on most nights. Our 3rd and 4th Lines are just not that good. They are no where as skilled as last years. Nor do they seem as consistent as helping on the score sheet.

Sharp, Kane, Seabrook..... Where are the 3rd and 4th line there?

Yeah, but the thing is, the Hawks have lost a lot of games this season to teams far less talented than them... Something just isn't right with this team. I watch hockey for entertainment. If the Hawks aren't entertaining me, I won't watch them unless I have nothing else to do. I will still root for them and hope they win, but I'm not going to worry about it too much either. I'm just glad I got to watch them win a cup last season. That was truly awesome.

NHL officiating does seem to be getting worse, doesn't it? Pretty fucking pathetic all around.

Either way, I'm not going to worry too much about this season. We are setup much better for next season. Hopefully our management pulls their head out of their ass with the personnel we bring in over the offseason.

No point in getting out of shape. Remember where we came from. Remember what we got and then remember what that "team" went through.

It will get better next year. NO TEAM will repeat in the SC era. I'd bet money on that.

And through all the crap with this team they are ONLY 2pts out of a playoff spot with 30 games left. That's ONE game.

I'd like to see this team sneak in and then smash someone in the first round and maybe beyond.

They can win on the road. In every game so far this year but say maybe one. No team will walk all over them. And really no team has walked all over them this year for 60 minutes.

Why not bring up Morin?

Too bad they lost today, a poor 2nd period really screwed them more than any ref could.

Yea and once the lost an entire line and skated the other 9 players in double shifts there was not making up for it. Although they were close several time.

I agree on Morin. You never know what Stan is thinking though. Q's said in the presser that he didn't think anyone would be called up. Now if Pisani is out extended time who knows.

Another telling stat (other than shots on goal, which we were killed) were hits.

39-16 in favor of Dallas. No surprise, we need to be more physical -- very telling though, one of the many stories of this season. Trading Jack didn't help, although I thought Frolik played well, we were definitely softer than usual, which is why I'm still baffled by this deal. Was I impressed with Frolik today? Yes, but at the cost of physicality? I just don't know. Like I said Stan must make another move, we need some physicality in this line-up. Maybe that is something Morin can bring.

Why did no one go after any Stars after that brutal hit to Pisani? We were up 3-0, after that the Stars knew we were free game and hit everything in sight. No one put a stop to them, no one strikes fear into the opponents. Bickell? Dowell? Brouwer? None were anywhere to be seen, they were hiding under their skirts AGAIN! What ever happened to taking one for the team? Playing hard for the guy next to you? And if it really comes down to it, defend your teammates! If I were Pisani I would be fucking PISSED that no one retaliated.

Ref's didn't lose this for us today -- yeah the calls were bad but we deserved to lose this game. I liked the effort in the 1st and the 3rd... maybe next time Q should "bag" skate them for 60 minutes to get the point across. That 2nd period absolutely lost this game for us.

Whoever said Fistric didn't use the elbow needs to go back and watch the video again....I didn't think it was a dirty hit till I watched it again today. There was no excuse for the crap play in the 2nd, but i will cut them slack when you are only rolling 3 lines becaus eyou are down 3 forwards in the 3rd. Frolik looked tentative at first, but once he got used to the line, h elooked good.

And anyone that thinks the piss poor officiating didn't contribute to that at all, is sadly mistaken. Two more video reviews agains't the Hawks, one granted is still questionable (above the x-bar), the other definetly was not called right.

Last night's game made me sick to my stomach.

Our total domination in the 1st just disappeared, followed by questionable calls by the refs, our tentative play between their 1st and 3rd goals, and Ott and other Stars taking liberty after liberty with our players and no response (Bolland knocking Morrow on his ass with a minute left was way too little, way too late).

Glad we have to play again tonight so we can can move on and forget last night's game.

As RK notes, we're only two points out of the playoffs if we get on a little roll we can get in and I guarantee you know wants the Hawks in the 1st round (or any round for that matter).

Ugh my head hurts!

Half from a hangover and half from how the final 40 minutes of the Hawks game went!

I am starting to come to the realization that many of you have come to already. These guys just aren't as hungry as last year. It's not a question of if they're trying hard or anything like that... it just doesn't seem like they have that drive like last year to keep the foot on the pedal and put teams away.

Like Mikita said in another thread... there's still not really any team out there that would want to face the Hawks in a 7 game series because that's when things get kicked into overdrive.

Another squandered opportunity for two is what makes last night so frustrating especially with

a terrific start to the game.

Anyone else notice that our speed really carried us in the first but when we slowed down in the

second and third the Stars physical play completely changed the direction of the game?

I have listened to all the comments on this game, the one who in my book is wayyy offf is Puck Jim. that was not an elbow??? did you not see his elbow extand when he made the contact...ok if you don't make that call, did you not see him leave the ice to make that hit??????? Am I the only one that saw that??? The NHL is trying to stop those hits, he at the least should have got a 5 min major. The most getting him ejected. The league will suspend him for sure. Yes the Hawks should have had a better second Period, but when you have the refs blowing calls left and right along with bulshit hits, its going to make you lose your focus. I guess Eddie whom I can't stand and favors both sides..was going nuts over that goal that was takin away was wrong??. They ( refs, NHL, War room, **** suckers ) are saying they did not distinctively see the puck go in, wow so the puck just happened to end up in the glove magicaly, and the other goal that was given...well you know when the refs are coming after you they are coming after you. We lost the game fine...but don't tell me that the refs did not have a major MAJOR part in it. If we don't make playoffs, I blame it mostley on these refs, its not just blackhawks its other teams that are being effected. Also to add how many of you saw Q blow a lid when they called to many men on the ice....If you pay attention he yells **** sucker to the ref. LOLOL classic.

lets go get 2 in the desert boys.

Can someone post the updated Hawks record when tied or leading by one goal after 2 periods?
