Actually, individual passes haven't gone on sale yet.

But I agree with you.

Umm, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that convention passes went on sale early in December this year...

I don't think so. Just the hotel. Which is a shit hole. So there's no surprise it's not sold out.

Well that's funny, because last year they went on sale the first week in December and were sold out before the New Year. The year before, I thought they were all sold out in January as well. Hotel rooms as well as individual passes. They must really be trying to sell out those hotel rooms, huh?

Either way, I'm not going, so I could give a ****. I just wonder why they aren't selling the passes yet? What do you want to bet they're waiting until the Hawks are in a playoff spot before announcing that they are on sale? Very, very strange that they sent playoff invoices out already, but haven't started selling convention passes yet...

Well I got a presale code for individual passes for tomorrow, so I'm betting they go on sale soon.

Seems later than last year, but I had always stayed at the hotel so I bought early.

Can you tell me what this means----

- This presale will provide you advance access to purchase passes prior to the general public but it DOES NOT guarantee passes.

So there is a presale that means nothing? WTF.... **** this organization.

He really is turning everything Cubs... armbands.. hahaa... anywho....

Last year they did blow their load, the did everything to capitalize on the season and the bandwagoners. And more power to them, who doesn't love money. But the fact is that it was a fan base that was negated for years... probably even over a decade. till about two years ago. You don't just win a cup then lose not make the playoffs and all is well. Fans are too dumb for that. The ride will be over and with the Bulls resurgence you can bet that the ship will be jumped. If they don't make the playoffs, the buzz is gone and next year, to the dumb fans, it will be like 2008 all over again. You may not see a dramatic shift in attendance as all it will really mean is that the real fans will now be able to get their hands on tickets again, but you better believe the bottom line will be hit hard.

You might as well had won the cup in Atlanta and missed the playoffs the next year. You don't sustain a fanbase with PR. And you don't build one instantly by winning a cup. You build one on sustained winning through the years. Go look at the attendance figures for the years after Tampa and Florida won their cups... yeah it was great the year after, but the next years they both suffered. And don't tell me it's just the market... The Cup is supposed to cure all remember? If the hawks had a current history of success, something to build a fan base on, then maybe I wouldn't worry. But as it is. 2 good seasons out of the last 13, and blowing their wad after last year, does not make a dynasty with fanbase that is patient and understanding. They threw money at the team last year because it was cool and they were dumb. If they miss the playoffs all it will be is here we go again... 49 more years or whatever it was.
