Comparable to his love for Matt " I've got concrete in my skates " Walker from a couple of years ago. Who left here for a 1.8 mil a year deal in Florida
<
He should thank Q for that. Walker could at least fight.

Leddy and Taffe sent to the Hogs per Kuc. Hope Leddy is just for cap management. He deserves a roster spot.

Showcase Boynton? Maybe to elicit pity

"Look at this fuckin' guy we're stuck with, halp plz
<
"

Well he does have his name on the SC twice and was on the ice last year when the winning goal was scored. While I agree with you he's worth nothing that doesn't mean they won't try to get something for him, or use him in a trade with others to bring back an asset.

Happens all the time during this point of the season. There are numberous scouts at each game, and more during the few weeks leading up to the TDL. We know he's not worth a bag of pucks, but dumber things have transpired with other teams.

Sharp for Ellison?

HEY I have an idea, won't be popular, but it is an idea. We want physicality and toughness, get Matt Cooke. Not only is he physical we will win because our opponents will have concussions due to hits to the head.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Umm they are going to take your playoff money either way.
<

And someone told me tonight they do not allow you to use your Click Tix money as the deposit.

Thanks for the tip. I checked with rep. and you can use your ClickTix balance to pay for playoff tickets, but you cannot do it online. It must be done through your ticket rep. I called mine and used part of my balance to pay for rounds one and two.

I did my part. Hawks need to do the rest!

So if Boyton is being "showcased" which I still don't believe happens with vets like him. Is that a situation where the coach or manager gets the finger pointed at them? I lean towards management myself.

Anyone stop to think that maybe the Bowmans are getting their hands on coaching decisions more than they should be? This may not all be Q's doing with the roster decisions. Line ups yes but roster? hmmmmm think Bowman needs to be looked at there a little.

I miss Tallon to be honest. Not comfy with Bowman yet. Guess I have to give the guy time but I don't trust his smarmy eyes.

You think this is new? Once Aucoin wanted to drop the "C" who exactly do you think "made" him keep it? I'll give you a hint, DT. When Khabi was going to start that first game here the season of the Khabi/Huet fiasco, because Huet had already started to suck who do you think made Savard scratch Khabi after he had already said he'd play? DT, although I do believe it was Mcdonough behind it.

You know GM's make certain decisions all the time. In the finals when Q mysteriously put Hossa Toews Sharp on the top line who's decision do you think that was? Q's? No way it was from Scotty.

There is a lot of influence that goes into the Coach. Although I've always heard he NEVER does anything unless it comes from him I have a hard time believing in certain instances that's just not true.

Hawks have NO trading leverage. They have no value to leave, clearing up space to bring anything back. Unless it would be Seabrook and or Bolland. Neither of which they can afford to part with, unless instant replacements are back.

Boynton went from never playing again, to all of a sudden back in the line up, when the Hawks were beginning to win again. Ironically right around the TDL....

DT was beginning to learn how to be a good GM but it took him years. His first two were full of crazy positioning. All be it not all his fault. But Stan has NO EXPERIENCE what so ever other than WATCHING someone else do it. He never played the game. He never worked in and around the game. Not until Tallon did a favor did Stan have ANYTHING to do with the NHL other than watching his Father. Yea, that scares me. It scares me even more when you realize who exactly the President of this Organization truely is..... Yikes.

Just a small observation but some guy by the name of Scotty Bowman never played in the NHL either, somehow has 12 rings though.

Now I'm not saying Stan will live up to that, but simply pointing out that you don't need to play in the NHL to be a winner in the front office.

I'm not sold on Stan either. His deal for Frolik kind of supports the idea that he doesn't truly know what this team needs at the moment. Does Frolik have more potential than Skille? I think so, I also like Salak a lot, but still seems like they are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It's a move that doesn't really make sense for the team right now when they are trying to make a push into a playoff spot.

I hope I'm wrong, but so far Stan looks like he is taking the deals that may be an overpayment for some of these players, but not necessarily the "right" deals to make this club a winner.

I think it's pretty early to say anything about the Frolik deal - win or lose - or maybe he got him to move someone else and Frolik will fill someone else's role.

Leddy for Barker is an absolute steal.

Morin looks to be a good prospect.

Versteeg was just moved for a 1st and 3rd (well....2nd and 4th where Phil will be moved)...not sure if Stalberg would get that in a trade. However, Hawks didn't have much leverage with some of the dumps needed.

He got Toews, Kane, Keith signed to good cap hit deals....hopefully soon to be Seabrook.

He's not a cup winning GM....but he's been doing pretty good IMO with some of the trades and the contracts.

You'll never know with the draft for a few years down the road.

I don't think any of us are giving up on him. Just not sold on him yet.

As much as Stan calls the shots, I think most of those shots are coming from his dad, and has the finally say. If thats the case, Hell I'm all for it. I don't mind if we don't make playoffs this year. Just look how hungrey this team will be next year. Not many teams repeat. Name me the team that repeated last....NJ??. Ok not making playoffs after winning it all blows but, we atleast tasted the Stanley Cup last year. This team is not going to allow losing its fans again. We will be ok.
