Are you serious?!?!?!? He didn't even have 5 minutes of ice time. He took a fighting instigator on a play where Campbell was barely grazed by the Wild player....he was invisible, Stu. You gotta quit drinking the #32 Kool-Aid....

He got a +1 and he stood up for a teammate tonight. Gotta admit, he's had worse off games.

Sooooo should we go a d-man short, could we suit Turco or Crawford up instead of Scott?

Just like Aucoin said the other night. No one will want to play this team in a 7 game series.

Smart guy! I said that a few weeks ago.

Another great win. Gotta keep them rolling. Put some distance between us and the fuckheads chasing us.

Toews has taken this team on his back lately and pretty much refuses to lose. The team has responded and are matching his intensity. Awesome to see.

Toews is an unstoppable force when he decides something. Toews has decided he will drag the hawks into the playoffs kicking and screaming if he has to.

Dante's been saying it for a couple months and I find it hard to argue with the logic and if we keep playing like we are doing now, we have as good a chance as anyone and our core has really started to play hockey and Q has stopped juggling the lines night in and out. The boys are playing well if we can carry solid play into the playoffs I know it is a long shot but repeating becomes at least realistic to consider.

So sorry I did not get to watch this game live with the rest of ya's. I found this game higly entertaining. The first was great with both teams showing great pace. I was really impressed with some of the back checking by the Hawks, noteably plays made by Bolland, Frolick, and Toews. I thought that Scott had a fine game. Somehow the coaches found spots for him where he did not need handle the puck to much. He was cautious and stayed where he needed to be. Anyone see him out of posistion? I also thought he found a great spot to fight. He complained earlier that he is loosing his edge because of no combatants. Here he found a spot and did not hurt his team, rather showed Campbell some love. Frolick is getting closer. Hossa is waking. Kaner is sober. And Johnny is beastly. Oh, Sharps ok too

Go Hawks, absolutely loved the game tonight.

I totally agree. I had so much fun watching this one.

The sweet Kane-to-Toews goal immediately followed by the fight was cool.

Yep. He's so awesome to watch when he decides to kick it into that extra gear.

Great game for the Blackhawks.

No doubt Staubitz took a run at Campbell even if he missed. Glad Scott gave him his beat down. That no doubt will do wonders in the locker room.

Someone remind Q never to break up the STK line again, they are on fire.

Would like to see Frolik pot one and get off the schnide. He gets that one and I think he will start scoring regularly.

Can't wait to see Campoli

Keep the train rolling down the tracks.

3 Stars

1 - Toews

2 - Hossa

3 - Kane

Someone does need to instruct the NHL officials as to what icings are though.

What about Sharpie getting mauled on the breakaway... that was a horrendous non-call.

We keep rolling games like these the rest of the Western conference will be shitting themselves if they have to play us post season. This team is beginning to look like the Packers end of season. They got healthy at the right time and rolled from there.

I'm conflicted you mentioned the packers and I hate them but it is about the hawks and I love them.

Fair nuff. I tend to agree with both of you. Hawks just make the playoffs and anything can happen.

A successful playoffs would be send the Nucks home for the 3rd straight year anything after is just bonus.

Versus continues to improve with their telecasts and play by play. Not the most concise, but at least they paid attention to that play, and called it like they saw it.

Your latter statement holds true as well, as well as some of the other statements in this thread that are obvious: when the people paid well do well, this team will roll. Instead if letting Minny nearly tie it, they put them away SH.

It's refreshing to see a team on the second night of a back-to-back play more than a 20 minute great period.

Now, here comes the negative-throw-you-under-the-bus stuff... too bad it took this long to group together a win streak like this.

The Captain's Speech should have been the real Oscar winner.

Keep it up Hawks. This kind of play just may get them home ice in the first round.

I enjoyed the Versus broadcast last night. The sightlines, camera angles and for the most part the commentary are much, much better then years past. The HD picture was terrific.

Q stopped juggling lines because -

1. The team has been as healthy as they have been all year

2. Players have been playing up to their talents - allowing them to be slotted correctly - he was doing all he can to get certain players going.

3. Players have been defining thier roles - when a team has 12 new players on the roster, it takes time to learn a system, get a feel for who belongs where.

4. He stuck with Keith/Seabrook as a pair for as long as he could. Hjarlmarsson played the beginning month and half as if that contract was a ton of weight on his shoulders.

Q has the best pulse of this team - where they are and where they need to be. He's been COY, playoffs all but 1 year in his career, he's top 10 in win percentage, 5th in active gms coached, 4th active in wins....so I think he knows whats he's doing.

Like mentioned in posts above, great game over all. But you can tell they were getting tired torwards the end, but thats expected with the start they had coming off a back to back. I have seen their record on back to back and it is very good for some reason. I don't know what it is but in the past few games, I have seen a different look on their face when they score. As far as Scott, I tell ya Its like watching an HBO boxing match on PPV. LOL the whitest Mike Tyson I have seen, first round knock outs!

But i think that juggling has cost them some games as well and that's where I have the rub with it, Q is too fast to change up the lines sometimes and it costs the team.
