I see you've been in the Kool-Aid again....

Well Chara has 3 boarding majors already this year... you will be crying for his head if he gets #4 tonight on one of the stars.

Lucic has a boarding major and an unsportsmanlike major this year for continuing an altercation.

Boston has 69 (3rd) major penalties this year while the Blackhawks have 30 (T-20th). Yea I think a little grit is warranted.

Well if he rolls with the same line up you have grit on each of the top two lines. IE Brouwer and Bickell. I don't mind if Pisani sits and Scott plays. Niether play a huge role on the score sheet.

Bickell really hasn't done anything out there lately. And it seems like Brouwer is hot or cold, he's either hitting everything in site or not doing anything, 253 hits is a pretty impressive number though. Seabrook seems like the only one who could stand up to Chara, Lucic or Thornton (who plays a lot bigger than 6'3").

Depends on who they play with. When you have a line of Bickell-Johnson-Brouwer I'm not sure what the hell you expect.

When they are put with producers they add grit.

Brouwer is not hot or cold. He leads the team in hits by a long shot as you point out. Like I said the top two lines have grit if he uses the line up he did last night.

Scott has not hurt the team when he's been in the line up but that said he gives you 4-5 minutes. Someone else will need to make up the other minutes. And on 2nd half of back to back do you have that person?

Come on Stu....Scott hasn't prevented ANYONE from hitting our "stars". He is absolutely worthless in that regard. They'll come at us if that's what they plan to do, and Scott won't stop them. He should be in the press box tonight (and the rest of the season)....

How do you know he hasn't? The first Blues game Winchester was playing like a hack until Scott skated up to him and said something... you know what? Not a peep or a run from Winchester since.

What happened after Matt Bradley was running around hitting everything in the Caps game and Scott had words with him? Oh that's right... nothing happened after that.

Staubitz running Campbell on an icing play? Staubitz sure learned his lesson...

Those are just three very quick examples when there have been numerous others.

The players like him in the lineup, he hasn't hurt the team at all and he can take someone useful off the ice in this situation.

VS--Thomas in goal

FYI Scott has done nothing to hurt this team. When he's on the ice and he does, then you have something to gripe about. Pisani sucks. So really does it matter which is in there? Not really. I guess everyone has a goat.

My goat is YOU. YOU show up to the UC and they lose. So in the same theory, stay the **** HOME!

Yeah, but I was at the St. Louis game when they rebounded from a 2-0 deficit and won that one....so at least I'm good for SOMETHING....

I guess that means you should be traveling to ALL 42 road games. GET WITH IT!!!

I think that 2nd period in St. Louis is the best period this team has had all year. Or top 5 for sure.

Nothing better than hearing Blues fans talk smack at the end of one period, and crying at the end of the next.

Def looked like a tired team tonight. I don't think they looked all that horrible though to be honest. Had some chances, Thomas played well. I love Craws start but he started facing too many shots and I do have to question if Turco would have been the guy to go with. Even though in no way was this loss Craws fault what so ever. Craw was probably the right choice.

Games like these are the ones where you need your 3rd and 4th lines the most. We just don't have the scoring punch on those lines. I think out top line give it all they could in a tired state. But yah def a team that looked tired.

Go Canucks, Go Oilers and Go Yotes (or Stars what ever floats your boat..I'm going for the Yotes)

Hawks will get 2 in the next one.

And Burrows scores 2 goals tonight to beat the Preds and helps out the Hawks? What sort of fucked up world am I living in today?

It sucked sitting in a sea of brown and yellow watching the boys lose in a shutout. Bruins deserved the win outplaying the Hawks. Shot differential only got close because after the B's had a 3-0 cushion they took the foot off the pedal. Thomas made some great stops, Crawford let in a soft 2nd goal. Campbell won't play through a hit, but just give up the puck to avoid getting hit, often resulting in turnovers. Lots of jarring tonight between the two Captains. Behind us a B's fan was giving some other Hawks fans a hard time but he cracked when a Hawks fan kept referencing 1972. Pretty funny.

Shawn Thornton butthurt by some comments made from the Hawks bench after he gut cut.

http://www.chicagobreakingsports.co...s-infuriate-thornton-20110329,0,7263110.story

It seems the Hawks have the verbal and psychological game working well. Too bad they couldn't back it up on the ice this time.

I'm not a fan. I wasn't a fan when they did it to Morrison, and I'm not a fan in this situation either. Regardless of how big a piece of shit Thornton is. Sometimes, you just need to learn to shut the **** up and play hockey. There's a difference between chirping guys on the ice and getting under their skin, and running your mouth at a guy that got hurt. The former can get the other team off their game and get them to take stupid penalties. The latter will usually result in giving the other team extra motivation to kick your asses all over the ice. It's pretty fucking bush league too. How would you feel if Vancouver was taunting Toews after Mitchell destroyed him at center ice? Seriously, what good does it do to run your mouth at a guy that likely won't be back in the game? I see nothing to be gained. The only teams I've ever played against that have taunted injured players, were fucking classless hacks. Hawks aren't exactly one of the toughest teams in the NHL, so running their mouths is pretty stupid if you ask me. They have what, two, maybe three guys dressing every night that can back up their mouths?

I thought that was bush league, too, Pez. I must be in an alternate universe, agreeing with you....

Game was tough to watch after the Bruins scored their first goal. Just got the feeling it wasn't out night. Can't fault the effort....

Eh, there is yapping all the time. Besides we do not know what was said other than Thronton's view...which is usually pretty skewed to begin with. The yapping was probably only brought up because Thronton reacted and either (1) was asked by the media why he reacted; or (2) brought it up himself to the media as most of the larger yappers tend to due when they obviously let their pussy get hurt by a comment.

Also, the yapping does work, as much as people would like to think it does not. Why else would have Thronton reacted if it did not? I am going with the pussy hurt option.

As far as the game, Boston was more than ready for this one and that was evident from the get go. The 'Hawks were hanging in there until the two quick goals from Boston, but ultimately I had the feeling going into the second that unless the 'Hawks got lucky bounces they were going to lose.

Oh well, on to Friday and the BJ's. Dallas needs 4 more points than the 'Hawks to push them out of the playoffs (yes I am already writing Calgary out, but they need 4 more points as well). Games left: Flamers 5, Hawks 6, Stars 7.
