I think one thing everyone can agree on is that Boston will choke. It's what Boston does in the playoffs. Same for the Sharks and Canucks. Any team with Joe Thornton seems to choke.

Yup. Regular season means SHIT when the playoffs start.

like mentioned in the post early prior to the game..that this is the one I feared. Were they tired, hell yeah, 3games in four nights yes...it showed. but I look at it this way they lost 2 games like I expected. I think from here on out, I see six in a row. which should put us at 102 points. Sharp will be back Sunday.

I don't agree with taunting guys that are obviously hurt. Did Morrison deserve it too? Sorry, it's bush league. I realize how much trash talk goes on during games. I've played a long, long time. However, most guys draw the line when it comes to talking shit to guys that are hurt. Most of the time you'll see a little stick tapping on the ice or on the boards when the guy gets up and appears to be OK. Trash talking a guy that was an inch or so away from having his eye cut out, and is bleeding all over the place? Come on. You could see the ref having words with the Hawks' bench afterwards too, so obviously something was said that probably shouldn't have been. That's really not a reputation you want to have...

Who the **** is Thornton supposed to go after that could actually fight him on the Hawks? Bickell didn't appear to want any part of any Boston players last night. He had several chances to get into the scrums and make his presence felt. Got rocked a few times and just took it. Guy is turning into a gigantic pussy. Brouwer didn't show any toughness either. We don't need Seabrook fighting anyone, and he's too smart to fight a guy like Thornton anyways. Everyone else on the Hawks would get absolutely demolished by Thornton. The Hawks just aren't a tough team. We'd be complaining regardless of who he went after, so, how about we don't complain about it?

Respect is a two way street. Perhaps the lack of stick tapping might be an indication of the type of player that Thornton is...one that generally shows a lack of respect for other players and the game.

Personally I think Thornton turned back to make a show of it. Not taking anything away from the injury, but when he got up he immediately look at the ref like he wanted a call, then threw his helmet off acting as if he had been victimized. He was playing for a penalty and perhaps the comment was along those lines...so in the fashion of a player already making a show he turns to act insulted...thus starting a conversation about the "bench words" And besides who knew how bad it was with how quickly he got up? Sure there was blood, but who knew the full extent at that time. He did seem like it was not too major.

Again, we only know what was said from Thornton. He could have repeated it without the curse words, he could has mentioned what the gist of what was said, but based on his actions I think he was making for of a show....as he is known to do.

But the RELIABLE source WSCR says it was Kane...

Negative....second one was NOT deflected. It was a knuckler that Crow should have grabbed...

Unless he grabbed it, and scored, it doesn't really matter.

We'll I couldn't tell by the replay and the Versus announcers said it had been deflected in.

Regardless, you can't fault Craw's performance for the loss. As I noted earlier, we were outshot 12-5 in the first and he kept us in it till that puck deflected off Campbell halfway into the second.

I can 100% tell you none of these NHL PLAYERS are intimidated by another team. You can think that they were all you want, but you don't play at that level, in the NHL.

I think most of the Hawks WANT the Canucks in the first round, assuming they make it. Yea they are intimidated alright, hoping to get the best team in the NHL right off the bat.

Boston will prove something when they win in the playoffs. As of right now, they are the 2nd team in history to lose a series when UP 3-0....

Captain obvious... intimidated.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yea right!

The Canucks are a bunch of wussies, what a terrible comparison. Boston is big, tough, and punishing.

If you're right, then I suppose Scott is worthless after all since no one in the NHL is intimidated by size, give me a break. Also, forget about Seabrook and the way he punishes his opponents, they aren't scared. He might as well just play soft since it doesn't intimidate anyone anyway.

You were the one crying in the chat that Scott should have dressed over Pisani because then guys like Chara/Lucic/Thornton etc.. etc.. would have been kept in check and wouldn't run our players... how would they be kept in check if "none of these NHL players are intimidated by another team"?

you don't need a break. I seriously doubt the Hawks or ANY NHL team is intimidated by another. I seriously doubt any one would fight Scott to begin with.

Scott would have had fresh legs. Who knows what that energy would have brought. You don't either.

As far as wussies they can't be that bad as I bet ANY of them but Burrows would kick your ass all over the ice.

You and I would be intimidated. Another professional NHL team, yea right.

And if you hadn't checked the Bruins are 21st out of 30 teams in Hits. Yup thats a team that would "intimidate" them alright.

Bergeron said it was either Kane or Brouwer who "chirped". Who the **** cares... if he goes after Kane, he'll get killed by Seabrook since Scott probably won't be back next year. And Brouwer would probably lose a fight but he'd hold his own.

Oh well... Brouwer loses a fight and the Hawks go on the PP after Thornton instigates.

Campbell certainly looked intimidated last night, bailing on the puck when Bruins were coming down on him. Like a deer in headlights. NHL players DO get intimidated, and it happens in pretty much every game, on every team. Saying that they don't is a load of shit. You don't think players are intimidated going into the corner with a guy like Seabrook? You don't think Buff intimidated opposing defensemen into making mistakes when forechecking? Yeah, OK. NHL players are all gods who are immune to being intimidated by bigger, stronger, tougher opponents.

Btw, Kane was 100% intimidated when Chara was coming after him in one of those scrums between play last night. Go watch the replay of the Thornton injury for the situation I'm referring to.

Kane didn't back down at all when he got in a shoving match with Chara behind the net in the 2nd period I believe.

LOL

YOur perception of intimidation means shit. He was getting out of the way. As a TEAM, no "TEAM" is intimidated by another. YOu can throw all the shit you want out there, but the FACT you have no clue what these guys feel is quite evident. None of them were worried about the big, bad 21st team in the league in hits, Bruins.

Campbell has shyed away from hits all year. Part of his injury.

No, but he avoided a couple of hits. That's what smaller players do. Intimidated? Really? I think they look foward to playing one of the Elite Defensemen in the league.

I'd ask him, but I know the answer already.
