Between the Billy Goat and the Kettle One Club, I was pretty drinky yesterday.

Fun game, although our section didn't have a usher for the first half of the first period.

Jako's Ruutu headlights were on.

By headlights do you mean his nipples were hard the whole game?

The team is really starting to gel. No longer a one line threat, and Campoli is sliding into his slot nicely.

Great responses, guys. Now I'm totally convinced it was a great game.

A couple of box score stats and a few questions regarding my smoking habits.

Well if scoring 5 goals and only allowing 2 goals is not a very good game... I can't wait to see what happens when the team has a good game.

What a Great game!...the moment I sat down in my seat 55 seconds later Toews finds the net... Peters looked lost the whole game, with one great save I have to give to him the save he made on Browy. This may be just me but Folik is kind of reminding me of Steegs at an early stage of his career. he is making some moves around the net that makes you say wow! He is turning out to be a great addition. As for Johnson I have always liked him since coming from the Nucks. He is a solid D-man that fills his roll and can depend on him. Leddy played great and is reminding me of Hammer of last year where you don't worry about him when he is on the ice. Is anyone else noticing the puck control around the opposition's boards. I feel like its coming back also. They had amazing control last night.

The puck that struck the fan in the head! wow. couldn't tell if he was bleeding or not with that towel around his head.

Not just you. He might turn out to be a keeper.

I just thought you'd like to share. I'm sorry. Of the 38 games I've been to this year that's probably one of the most complete games. If you don't think they played that well, I am very excited about what happens when they do play a good game.

Holy shit.

No shit. I've never seen them score 10 goals but if that's the case, and last night was not a great effort, I may end up seeing that before I die.

I dont think youre smoking...just don't know hockey very well.

I've been harping on the puck possession aspect all year. Ironic last night was the best face off winning percentage this season, and ALSO the most puck possession during a single game and they OWNED the opposition. That's what wins Stanley Cups, as we've recently seen.

Hope they continue to gel, because they are kicking ass right now.

Just curious why you don't think it was a very good game. We did have several extremely sloppy stretches where the Canes should have scored if they didn't suck. A lot of defensive zone **** ups too. We could clean things up defensively a bit. Other than that though, I thought they played a good game.

I can only really remember one poor break down and it cost us a goal against. Hjarlmarsson lost the puck at the opposing blue line and in turn it created a rush the other way. Even then the pass bounced off Hjarlmarssons skate right to probably one of the best Centers in the game in Stahl. I guess we could have and should have finished more of our chances in the first period. It could have been 6-1 after that period. That's how good the Hawks were.

Hell it was 9-1 shots on goal 12 minutes into the first.

Yeah, Seabrook's stupid backhand pass and Hammer's fumbling of that pass on the Staal goal were one of those I was referring to. Keith's pass right to the Canes' player in front of our net was another terrible play. We were just lucky they didn't score. Defensively, this wasn't our best game. The score was what it was because of our puck possession and the dominance of our offense. Like I said, we still need to clean things up a bit on the defensive side.

Not sure what you were watching but it was NOT a back handed pass. And don't tell me it was I just watched it 4 times because I knew it wasn't and wanted to make sure before I pointed it out to you.

And you gave up on this team a month ago so don't tell them what they need to do.

The Hawks have let many teams hang around this year after outplaying them, but I had no fear of a loss going into the third last night. The defensive play and puck possession last night mirrored last years team. Save for a fee minutes, that was a compete ass whipping last night, and would've been even if Ward played.

I stand corrected. Either way, it's a stupid pass. Hammer is moving OUT of the zone, with a forward right on top of him. You put that puck deep in that situation. Not sure why I thought it was a backhand pass really. I had a few beers last night.

I NEVER said I gave up on this team. Big difference between not letting how they perform piss me off, and giving up on them.
