Speaking of Bolland he left with a pair of SKATES! I'm not sure what that means and I did not speak with him but the fact he was walking with Skates to me is a good thing. He looked good as well.

As I look at the standing we win the tie breaker with Dallas in ROW so it apppears to me 2 more points and we are in. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

You are correct good sir. One Hawks win or even one Stars loss and we are good as in. We will own the tie breaker on Dallas. Dallas needs to win 3 out of 3 (avs avs wild) for any chance.

I think. LOL

I looked we have 37 ROW and Dallas has 35 so if the Hawks win without going to a shootout we are in. Or if the Stars win in a shootout and we win in a shoot out we are still in.

After watchign it I don't think you could tell if it completely crossed the line on the other side of the goal or not. Since it was a goal on the ice, it was a goal with indisputable evidence to over turn it. Good call IMO. Had it been No Goal on the ice, it would have stood no goal on the ice. I can't remember Ohalleran doing us a favor ever...!

I talked to Campoli for a few after the game. Got hit with the puck in the face so he had a huge fat, cut lip. Seems like a really nice guy. JT was spent, but great goal for him to get. Hopefully it picks up his game.

All I hope is we beat these Wang assholes. Couldn't work out better, got shows all week and the Hawks games finally lined up perfectly around it. Its a plus Zetterberg is out, but am I the only one who just wants to beat the shit out of this team healthy? Don't get me wrong I'll take a winner anyway I can get it with the teams I cheer for, but something would be unbelievably satisfying if we knocked out a healthy Wang team in the playoffs. They got us 2 years ago, we didn't get our chance last year, it'd be nice to avoid them this year, but I would welcome the challenge.

ohhh its not the goal crossing the line that was the issue. Hossa kicked that sucker in. He def got away with one there. Not sure why they didn`t even review the kicking motion. Cause he def kicked that sucker in and it def didn`t touch his stick after he kicked it.

Agree with the right call being the one on the ice and no conclusive footage to over rule that call. But he did kick it.

hehehehehehe..we got away with one.

Dont blame Toews for being spent, he is being mugged out there and double teamed. He did a few things tonight that I just loved. Esp after he was tripped up there in the 3rd period on the scoring chance off the wing. He went down yet still managed to get a great pass off when he was flat on the ice. Love when players do that instead of looking for the call and playing it up as if they have been shot (ie Subban). That`s not only heart that is smart heads up hockey. Never give up on the play. Toews does that well.

Yea but it was blatantly kicked in and did not hit Hossa's stick.

I'm not sure he used a "Kicking motion". You are allowed to angle the puck with your skate. It's when you kick it in that's the problem. Didn't look like a distinct kicking motion to me but then again in this case I'm definitely BIAS!

As far as Hossa's goal, I think the ref completely botched the call. He simply did not have a good enough vantage point to determine whether or not the puck completely crossed the line. He just made a guess, and from the replays it looked like that guess was wrong but with that said I'm just guessing that which means it was inconclusive. So I do agree that Toronto made the right choice by determining the play was inconclusive. We'll never know, but my feeling is that the puck did not completely cross the line.

As far as the kicking motion, it was a blatant kick, no doubt. However if you watch the replay a few times, the puck does change direction -- either the puck hit an edge or it barely touched Hossa's stick. Again, inconclusive. I'd like to believe it touched the stick, ever so slightly.

Doesn't matter though, like TCD said, the Hawks are the ones usually getting the short end of the stick so it's nice to see karma run it's course and finally get a call our way for once. I can't recall any point in the season where we have had a lucky break, but there are several times where we got the shaft.

The Hawks took advantage of that call and reaped the benefits by swinging momentum in their favor and never looking back. It's nice to see, but they need to play better, had that ref called no goal we would have lost. That said, it was nice to get a win against a team that has been on fire lately. We competed hard and it paid off, the end result is all that matters.

Besides the goal, Leddy may have had his best game as a Hawk. It was even mentioned in the chat before he scored, I think it was PSR that said something about it and minutes later he popped it in. Great to see, the kid has been very good for us all year so it was nice to see him rewarded. People may forget he is only 20.

I mean if thats not distinct than just let guys kick it in. The only way I see them justifying it as a good goal, and believe me its a stretch is looking at it, realizing it was kicked, then not being able to tell, with INDISPUTABLE evidence that it didn't touch his stick. Due to the call on the ice they would have needed that, and there just wasn't a way you really could not tell if the stick did or did not nick the puck. Either way, Blues season is over, Hawks are defending champs in probably the number 1 American market for the NHL right now........

That was me, I was saying how his play has been down of late due to his ice time being down. I thought of it against Tampa, then definitely in Montreal last night. All of the sudden he plays 7 minutes in the first and is having a hell of a game, keeps playing more and nets a huge fucking goal. He's gonna be a hell of a player.

I am totally taking the Hossa goal. It was absolutely kicked in. Yes, you can angle it, but his skate clearly move towards the goal, and not to stop him from moving forward. My question is if a puck is kicked and it ricochets off the post, as it seemed the one in question did, does that still count according to the rules?

I can't remember any officials doing us favors, even when we blew we got shit calls. As you said, who cares, they counted it and it gave us momentum to win the game, it could be a huge difference in the season if we take advantage of the momentum.

As JR said in the Versus post-game show, it was karma for that BS call on Toews the other night that caused the loss. It definitely went to the Hawks favor.
