Not sure why but I decided to read the Blues official board... And I ran across this great gem....

"Oshie is better than toews imo.

A few years from now and that statement will be agreed with."

It just makes me wanna go

If there was any player on the 'Hawks to "deserved" that OT winning goal it was Toews. He worked his ass off that game and was a big factor, so happy he got that goal.

The thing with the Hossa goal is that the overhead makes it look so much that he kicked it, but watch that skate in the in front of the net shot. Hossa kept the leg straight and was skating hard toward the net. The only movement on the skate or leg is "normal" movement. Now, did he happen to keep his speed up to try and ensure that the puck hitting his skate went toward the net...sure. But I don't know if it was an obvious kicking action. As far as it crossing the line, didn't look like it to me. But hey, finally a break...perhaps they felt there was too much "snow" obscuring the line so they could not judge the call properly.

Completely agree about the comments with Campoli and Leddy. Campoli is a complete keeper for this team. Fits the style, works hard, very good in the rush, and is pretty responsible when pinching.

Frolik, man, he works his ass off, generates chances, and is not afraid of the corners. I just want him to bag a goal or three before the end of this season.

Not me he left with Smith and stopped to talk with us. I felt OLD!

You ARE OLD!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay here is a question IRT plays reviewed in Toronto. In most cases, for the leagues that review a play, it has to be reviewed for a particular reason, i.e. in football "was his foot in" not "was his foot in AND did he hold onto the ball."

Is it the same case here? They were reviewing it for the puck crossing the line, not crossing the line AND how it was propelled in? I mean it was blatantly a kicking motion, even through the red and black tinted glasses I saw that.

And yes RK that is the first time that fucknugget Dan O'hemmoroid has done us a favor.

.... And one last thing, why were we holding on the puck in our zone so dam long along the boards, while the blows were lurking around, I noticed soups and some others staling, and at times we lost the puck when it should have been a routine pass out the zone....

I think sometimes that's to allow for line changes, but I could be wrong. i notice the same thing, but when you're watching on the teevee, you don't necessarily see the line change...

Great win,got lucky on the first goal, but **** it they have never gone our way all year, its about time they gave us one. Hossa was great most of the game, I think Kane is heating up right in time. Sharp looked shakey but its understandable. Campoli looked solid, Keith has no clue what he is doing lately. Hammer looks like hes having brain cramps out there. And one last thing, why were we holding on the puck in our zone so dam long along the boards, while the blows were lurking around, I noticed soups and some others staling, and at times we lost the puck when it should have been a routine pass out the zone. Lets go get 4 more points and get shit rolling!

P.S. Tater, I just put in the crow in the oven..it should be ready for you by Sunday evening.

? Kopecky's goal?

As far as Hossa's goal, Did I think he was trying to kick it in, no I think he was trying to angle it but it was going to fast, cause you can see his stick trying to poke it in while it was moving forward. I don't think Hossa is trying to pull a Collen Frazer out there, I think he's a better player then trying to sneak a cheap goal. Karma could not have come in a better time. We have been at this point and the short end of the stick many many times. Like Ton mentioned we need to tweek our D and stop the turnovers in our zone, we should be fine. I thought Scott was going to play last night.

Did anyone else notice T.J. Oshie on the bench after the shot hit his hands.

He looked like he was crying like a little girl that just had her lollipop taken away.

I think it's me that you were making the crow for, Acco. Which I'll gladly take a extra-large helping!

Okay, 1st off..I forgot if it was here or another board, but someone else needs to eat crow because Kopecky did indeed go to the front of the net (Big night for the Slovaks).

Now, onto Hossa's goal. The goal was good. It takes a very good eye, and a good slow-mo feed to see this: Hossa's foot action would insinuate tht yes, it was a distinct kicking action. The puck then hits the post. If you notice, right as the puck is coming off of the post, the trajectory of the puck appears that it would actually miss the far post on the outside of the goal for about 4"-5", then chances direction ever so slightly when Hossa's stick crosses the puck's path, in which the puck's trajectory changes to be almost parallel towards the far post, and after hitting it, crosses the line with some whitespace.

It was hard to see, and maybe it wasn't how the War Room called it, but it was what I saw. Good goal.

Also, good to see Sharp back and tearing ass across the ice, and glad to see Tazer net the GWG!

Being wrong never felt so good!

Did you see Ty Comklin's remark...."They’re probably going to make it into the playoffs anyway, but do we really have to make it that obvious that the league wants them in?" Really Ty? Just like when the decided to call Toews for tripping in OT the night before, giving the game to the Habs.

Based on that remark, he has a bright future with the Canucks waiting for him.
