How is not playing a center who has played with Kane through a bulk of a season compared to playing a center who hasn't played much at all with Kane not common sense? Or a guy who helped the Hawks win a cup last year playing center and within the exact same system over a guy that never existed as a Hawk until late in this years and wouldn't be in these playoffs at all unless Shaw were injured. Same guy that 9/10ths of the fan base wanted to see sent to the farm a couple months ago. No one had even heard about him before and it's not as if he was a rookie or a prospect either.

Are you guys listening to yourselves? It's Peter Regin we are talking about here!!! Step back and think about that for a moment....please think about it. I really hope there isn't some sort of realistic ideas in your heads that Peter Regin is going to be the answer for Kane and the second line. PLEASE.....stop and think about what you are saying. You guys are funny. You have to be trolling now.

I'm not trying to defend Handzus hes obvioulsy washed up but I am certainly not in a camp that believes Peter fucking Regin would have been the better option at 2nd line center than Handzus. OIIIII VAAAAIIIIII. At what point do you look at Peter Regin and start thinking to yourselves...theres a better option than Handzus. Seriously when does that moment happen and are you chasing those thoughts with zoloft? Fucking Peter Regin a better option than Handzus. Kill me now please.

Yes it's Peter Regin, like I said, a replacement level player and a better skater than Handzus, which automatically puts him above Handzus as a better fit for that spot. You're right, it doesn't take much. No one is saying he's a really good player, or even a good player, or "the answer", there is no "answer" this season for that spot, he's simply better than Handzus for that line. Better, that's all and it's not saying much. Like I said, I'd take Shaw over any of them. Or Smith, no matter if he's more effective at wing or not. No one is saying any of these players are going to be this amazing revelation that blindsides us, they're simply going to be better options if only because they can fucking move faster. That alone beats out whatever horrible chemistry Kane and Handzus have with each other that's resulted in absolute shit production.
