David Kaplan just said on Chicago Tribune Live that the Indiana Pacers can beat the Chicago Bulls even with a healthy Rose in a 7 game series wow what a fucking dumbass.
you guys need to pay attention to key words
"can" means that there is a possibility, not that the pacers would beat the bulls or would win even 50% of the time, hell even 40%..
the bulls at this point are just not an ideal playoff team
1. They have one real source of consistent scoring when needed
2. They cannot compensate for #1 very well, because the bulls dont have very good ball flow(besides rose and minorly noah, do the bulls have any good passers?) and they dont have a consistent balanced attack every game
if everyone is healthy, 2 becomes more of a possibility with a solid starting 5...
does this mean the bulls wouldnt have a good possibility of making the ECF and even the finals with the current roster? Absolutely not..I'm just providing reasoning for a possible outcome
The Pacers have Roy Hibbert, who is steadily becoming one of the best centers in the game, and is 7'2
David West is a very solid PF and with Hibbert and Hansbrough makes a capable frontcourt (and this frontcourt becomes a little more of an issue when you have one defender in the post who cant rotate worth jack)
Danny Granger is a very good SF
Paul George is a solid wing and a very very very good defender who would look to challenge Rose...thats one thing..they have a guy who can handle rose and essentially take out of the "head" of the bulls
Collison is a good PG who can run the offense well
The starting 5 is solid up and down, there are no real potholes(like an uncertain or inconsistent position...all of starters started well over 90% of the games they played..the lowest percentages were 56/60 and 62/66)
And then you have Barbosa,Stevenson,Hansbrough, George Hill(who is a really good player),and AJ price on the bench
so considering all of this, is it that ridiculous to say "In a 7 game
playoff series, the Pacers
can beat the Bulls?"
