Alex Rios on All-Star Game: "It doesn't matter to me. Making playoffs with this team would be my All-Star."

yeah i dont give a **** who makes it, i just care about making the playoffs.

Same. It's nice to get the honor of having some players there, but in the end making the playoffs matters more.

I think Peavy, Sale, and Konerko are the only ones that make it.

AJ also had a quote about the ASG. Something like he thinks he's deserving, but he knows how it works by now and knows he probably won't make it.

Hope AJ is on the final vote ballot just so I can vote for him a ton of times. Final Vote is no fun when there's not a Sox player there for me to go crazy about.

need viciedo to either get a day off or someone has to work on his approach. needs to get OB more. I know he is young as ****, but he is vlad in his prime without the contact. he swings at anything and everything, vlad did the same but made contact. he needs to be more of a threat.

His swing looks awful sometimes. Let Danks play a game or two every once and awhile. He's proved that he's capable of doing that so let him do that.

You're a fucking idiot.

Will he be the player that the Sox expected when they drafted him? Not hitting wise, but his defense at second is a lot better than they expected he would be at 3rd or 2nd.

Is he a good second basemen both on defense and offense? Yes. If he hits around .250 then he's fine. That's getting on base 1/4 of the time. He's not going to be Cano or Pedroia so just get over that.

Beckham is fine.

Rios for Comeback Player of the Year. Don't give me that power, OBP, OPS crap for Dunn. His AB's have been atrocious.

I don't hate Dunn at all but he's a one dimensional hitter & his whiffs are on my last nerve.

But that's the type of player Dunn is and has always been. Dunn has done the best to go from terrible to one of his better seasons. I don't think Rios will win because his bad season last year was overshadowed by Dunn's bad season as far as national media goes. I also think Peavy has a good argument and maybe even a better one than Rios. Coming back from a surgery nobody has ever had in the major leagues and playing like this? AMAZING.
