Officiating was horrendous in the 4th quarter of the Spurs-Thunder game. It was like they had the NCAA Tournament officials...every time a Thunder player would drive to the basket, a Spurs player would slide over when the Thunder player was in the air and undercut him. Very dangerous, illegal...yet it resulted in like 5 charge calls AGAINST Oklahoma. Oklahoma didn't do themselves any favors by playing EuroLeague defense in the 4th quarter, but the announcers needed to man up and say what was going on in the game instead of the bland "Oklahoma hasn't scored in their last 5 possessions".

The officiating aside, Scott Brooks got outcoached in the second half. Pop is hands down the best coach in the NBA right now and a big part of the Thunder letting that first game slip away because of Brooks' inability to make adjustments on the fly.

I remember that statement being made about Pop before the playoffs started...and certain people who shall remain nameless scoffed at it. But yeah, he is at the top of the line. So is RC Buford.

Ditto. How does Brooks not have his best low post defender & arguably the best in the NBA in the game during crunch time?

I know they went small in an effort to slow Ginobili but leaving Perk on the floor and not Ibaka was difference down the stretch. We'll see what adjustments are made in game 2, but so far it looks like Spurs are gonna wrap this one up in probably 6.

Great game for the Thunder's big 3.

Durant,Westbrook and Harden combined 88 points, 19 rebounds and 16 assists.

But still not enough to beat a well built team.

who would have guessed that OKC's big three would combine for 86 points and still lose by 9

LeBron and Wade can score 90+ against the Spurs in the Finals and still won't be able to beat the Spurs.

If nobody get injured from the spurs it will be very ugly for Lebron. He avoided being humiliated by the Bulls in the ECF. I hope he won't avoid it by the Spurs in the NBA finals.

They look ready to do so. The level they are playing on right now doesn't just have to do with their talent. It's definitely their determination too.

It's their teamwork as well. The way they pass is just beautiful to watch. They are picking OKC apart right now. Plus Tony Parker is playing out of his mind.
