That would have meant the AL was carrying 4 1B with Gonzalez, Cabrera, Texieria, and Konerko. It wasn't a clear cut snub like the fan vote is this year.

Yeah it wasn't a clear cut snub. It was just a snub. He had the numbers to be there.

And he did end up there. Maybe it seemed more like a snub in the moment.
