The argument for Fields NOT being "Elite" and keeping him anyway.

If you keep Fields, it doesn’t make any sense to keep the coaching staff.

Something is irrevocably broken in the GM——>Coaching Staff——>Players dynamic. You don’t fix that by keeping all 3 of those.

... as for keeping such a turnover machine for whatever reason... how long do you think a good wr is going to want to stay on the team?
What development opportunities for the rest of the team are you willing to waste in order to coddle someone who isn't the answer?

There are 21 other starters that deserve development opportunities as well.

I was considering replying to the unrealistic expectation for the Bears to draft a low 1st/high 2nd QB and hit on him from someone else.

I can't ignore this. Are you expecting the Bears to pay a great WR that connects with a QB?
When it comes time for the contract we historically let them walk for nothing or we pay someone to take them.

It's another reason I want a high WR taken. I don't expect DJ to get an offer that would keep him if we get a great combo working.

I want fields to succeed. But I think u and almost everyone else are correct. The main culprit has been the coaching and play calling. They fucked up the getsy hire. I would like to point out if u hire a new coach and oc, fields will have to learn that new system just like if u drafted a new QB.

The bottom line... If Everlose and Getsy is gone, so is Fields. The Bears hire 'new' coaching and draft new QB.. If Fields stays , so is Everlose and Getsy. That's the only way I think it will play out. Poles is not going anywhere..
They will keep Poles, they knew it was not a 1-2 year rebuild, Flus and Getsy are gone, and new coaches will get the option
on if JF is the guy along with Poles opinion.

Why do I keep seeing people say this on here? It’s laughable that anybody would think this is how a GM would logically approach this. Poles will keep who he thinks is competent and can win. LOL at thinking he’s doing some weird chemistry test or whatever this ridiculous logic is. Like he thinks he can only keep one but not the other. He’ll keep who he thinks can lead the team to success and get rid of who he thinks can‘t. That’s it. If it’s one or both the coaches and QB or neither.

Some folks take cheap shots at your posts buy once again you are right on target.

I have a tendency to get people to out themselves. Even Eminem and Taylor Swift have their haters - that's how you know you made it to the big time. :smug2:

Correct, because above-all, Poles wants to keep HIS JOB! And that's why you're right...he'll keep players, who he believes, will help him KEEP HIS JOB! This is the practicality of the work place. Why people want to make this Rocket Science, is beyond me.

How does a competent GM look at this mess under Eberflus and decide the best path forward is to keep all the consequential people?

That's exactly it. And don't underestimate that he has Ian Cunningham by his side who was there in Philadelphia when the Eagles decided to stick with Jalen hurts and build around him while everyone else in the league and the media said they all need to move on and draft a quarterback...

None of this is accurate. In 2022 the eagles traded back to get an additional 1st for 2023 draft in case hurts didn't take the next steps. Cunningham was already with the bears at that point. By the 2023 draft hurts had just come off a season in which he was the runner up for mvp and had made the super bowl and nearly won. Therefore, obviously without Cunningham since he'd been gone for over a year at that point, they extended hurts

Can anyone not on ignore by the fat guy with a complex, tag him and make sure he acknowledges all his inaccuracies?
