Fukin idiot.

The Beatles music spanned and created many genres. Many critics beleive they created Heavy Metal with Helter Skelter. They created the first concept album. They are generally responsible to the proliferation of album sales rather than 45s because they created so many hits. They pushed rock music to a higher level as bands then had to create an entire album of good songs not be one hit wonders. Other groups knew they had to produce 6-9 good songs. They were one of the first to host massive outdoor concerts. They were the first band to start songs on the chorus instead of an introduction. They produced Paul Mccartney which is the closest thing rock has to Mozart. They were one of the first to use recording techniques not commonly used or just being introduced. Thier music scanned generation of listeners unlike every other band in the world. If you listen to virtually every well known rock musician they attribute their inspiration to the Beatles. Jimi Hendirx was performing the entire Sgt Peppers album live 3 days after it was released. Famous musicians in LA rented hotel rooms and listened to Sgt Peppers non-stop for 2 days. Elvis asked for an introduction to the Beatles. Frank Sinatra called Something the greatest love song ever written.Paul McCartney invented the melodic style of bass playing and changed they way the instrument was played in rock. No band has had their music covered by other musicians more than the Beatles, in fact one of their songs has been studios recorded 2000 times. 50 years later they are still more popular than any current group. 200 years from now they will be the only group from this era remembered

That's all very interesting. The music still sucks.

I'm glad you typed all that out though. It's funny how nearly all Beatles fans get all worked up.

Wow..pot, meet kettle.

I really want you to explain to me why and how the Beatles' music sucks. You "not liking it" doesn't mean it sucks. It just means you have no concept on how to write music or how structuring music works.

Apparently Omelet is the type of person I was alluding to in my first post? All generalities and no specifics about actual musical content. Actually this was the only mention of the music in that entire post: "They were the first band to start songs on the chorus instead of an introduction." And that is a false statement.

And this statement is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard while someone is attempting to equate disparate genera/era: "They produced Paul Mccartney which is the closest thing rock has to Mozart."

What about Mozart and McCartney are similar?

If any of you think that the Beatles were revolutionary in any MUSICAL sense I'd like some specifics. These are the primary components of music; point out what they did that was unique or revolutionary in any of these facets:

Harmony:

Melody:

Rhythm:

Form:

Compositional System:

Considering not one of you made a thoughtful response to what I wrote I consider it a pearls at swine scenario. Not worth my time.

If you want to join the McCartney is the modern day Mozart discussion that has been going on for the past 50 years there is plenty of dicussion on the internet about this concept. After all, they have only been talking about it for 50 years.

Finally, to the moron that said the Beatles are bubblgum I have this to say: Fukin Idiot
