Glad you were able to do Sprecher, I knew you would like it. If you ever get the urge to go up there again, take the special tour. It's the same tour but at the end they put you in a different room and they pair like 8 -10 beers with 8-10 of their cheeses. It's awesome you get a lot of different beers and a couple of soda's. Plus some seriously good cheese. I think the tour was only like 15$ which I believe is 5 bucks more, it takes more like an hour though. So you need some time. You also get 10% off in the shop for taking that one. Don't you love how most of the beers there are in 16 oz bottles. The bourbon and scotch ales were also my favorite.
We had planned on taking that one, but it didn't pan out. Still brought back plenty (although we just tried the Reserve Porter and could not believe just good that one was - don't think I'll be able to find that one in Binny's) and discovered a lot of their good stuff is sold locally.
Another awesome part about Sprecher's is that after your done sampling the great beer and buying more hooch and swag... Solly's is right down the street (seriously, we didn't even move the car from the brewery lot, we walked it) and they make what they call, "The Original Butter Burger" which kicks Culver's ass to the curb. So good... like a slider with more care, taste and class.
