Uh no. Cooper was really shitty this year. He definitely did NOT dominate.

He was dealing with injury issues all season. He did suck, but it might have been do to the injuries? Dunno

My favorite teams
  1. New York Mets
  1. New York Knicks
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. New York Rangers
  1. Syracuse Orange
Which shows you how dumb this philosophy is because all Cooper has done in the NFL is dominate.

In his rookie year he did but his sophomore year was really bad and think he lead the league in drops as well. Could just be the sophomore slump slapped in his head.

Doubt it, unless it was a hand injury. He had a ridiculous amount of drops.

He's too raw. Ridley is pro ready and right now the number 1 WR by almost all analysts. Sutton will only jump him due to combine numbers, not because of the tape. Remember another guy with good combine numbers -- Kevin white.

Go for the pro-ready player who's skill set fits our offense better, Ridley.

Hard to predict who will be the better player in 3 years. Sutton has two major advantages. Size and the fact that he's younger and has more potential to improve. The Bears may go in a different direction in the first round, so the question may be who are the best second tier prospects?

I'll get flamed for this I'm sure, but Ridley reminds me A TON of Marvin Harrison. Best pure route runner I have seen in quite some time.

I have wondered if Marvin Harrison would have been Marvin Harrison without P. manning throwing the ball to Marvin Harrison.

Err? Lacks burner speed? You do realize corners play 10 yards off him because he’s just that insanely fast? Who knows what paces model was. Kevin White was an athletic monster, no wr in this draft compares to him. He was 6’3 running a 4.35. All we do know is Ridley fits nagy’s system.

Most of 40 times or estimated 40 times on Ridley are in the low 4.4 range (excepting the 4.35 outlier on the home field, with a no-doubt friendly timer...). That's fast, but not insanely fast. The point is Pace looks for the insanely athletic type high in the 1st round. Doubt Ridley will measure up to that...

As for fitting into Nagy's system, even if we accept that as fact, so what? At #8 in the draft, Pace will be looking for potential impact guys, not best fits, especially for a yet-to-be defined "system"...

Well you need to talk to Jack Lame and find out why he says he's a body catcher then. Can't use our #8 pick on a kid that isn't a hands catcher.

I think he meant that Ridley cradles the ball when he can.

I would say being the only threat at wr on the field for Alabama and putting up near 1k while being keyed in on is a definition of impact. He had 63 catches. The next highest total was 14. Let that sink in. That just shows how little his qb throws/can throw. He frequently has a 10 yard cushion due to the fact he can beat teams deep and still put up 15+ Ypc.

Regardless..Amari Cooper was the football player and Kevin White the athlete. And while he might have struggled this past year(how much is that on Carr too?)..at least Cooper has had PERIODS of dominance in the NFL..while Kevin White has been a big fat ZERO.

So that should tell you all you need to know about judging guys based on what they run in shorts vs what they actually do on the football field.

Would rather sign Landry and draft Nelson.

Do we really know what White would have been without so many season ending injuries? The answer is No. Combine numbers are only one factor and might be decisive if the players graded out equally.

If my aunt had a dick, she would be my uncle. Kevin White was a terrible pick. I hope Pace doesn't repeat that mistake. You can't draft JUST an athlete..they have to be able to play football. White ran 1 route in college.

To answer the question: We don't know what White would have been absent injuries that no one could predict. We do know he was extremely productive at WV.

If he truly has elite speed then I think he could be in the conversation at 8.

Alabama didnt have a good passing Qb so Ridley should be a better pro.

Ridley WILL NOT BE 24 WHEN THE SEASON STARTS.

He will be 24 in week 16. The last practice day before the 15th game to be exact. Stop with that narrative.
