Daniel Tosh and Louis C.K. are probably my two favorite current comedians. I am a big fan of the "shock" comedy.

I see people complaining about shit like this all the time. Once their line is crossed its "outrage". Rape and aborted fetuses can be funny too.

Tosh and Louie are great. Louie's show is right up my alley. It is uncomfortable. I saw Tosh a few years ago before he had the show. Very funny.

Robert Schimmel. was great. He had such a fucked up life. His son dies of I think lymphoma, Diagnosed with cancer, he left his wife for his daughters friend, was told he was gonna die, he beat the cancer, was told hed never have kids again, a few years later to th day he was told that had a son, constant struggle with life and wife, then dies from a ccar accident caused by his daughter.

I'm honestly not a Tosh.0 fan. I don't think his shock comedy is intelligent or creative enough and I too enjoy shock comedy. I think it's too easy as far as his Tosh.0 show to take youtube videos and heckle them. Isn't that what hundreds of people do anyways on comment sections? It's too easy. Won't lie I have laughed at some of his "redemption" segments though. More of those would make the show tolerable and highlights more creativeness.

His stand up is different though and much better. Still not a huge fan of it but there is more originality to it.

Personal taste thing.

Tosh on stage is good. The show is amusing but I don't think it is a super accurate portrayal of him. It does have his comedic fingerprints on it.

Shock humor is fine in small doses, it's when you rely on it completely is when it gets old.

I also like Doug Stanhope. He goes to some dark places. Joe Rogan annoys me.

Doug Stanhope on Louie was one of the most intense things I've ever seen. Just a great, heartbreaking episode.

stanhope is the most honest comedian in the game. he puts hinself out there like no one else. hes one of my favs. shoots from his hip and that hip is like a razor blade.

QFT. The problem now for me is that I enjoy his standup so much, it is hard to enjoy other comedians as much because he is the bar that I judge.

That's the first time I've ever seen Doug Stanhope. Pretty damn good stuff. Can't say it was laugh out loud funny for most of it, but it was damn entertaining.

If you ever find the time watch his "No refund" special. There is a better version somewhere on Youtube but Ill post this one. It's a dangerous set he performs. Its brilliant. Some recycled ideas as he is def influenced by Hicks and Carlin but Stanhope carried their voices to this generation and the modern climate.

I just watched the episode of Louis when he was on it and I got to say the episode was heavy. Not a laugh out loud episode but there was something great about his little performance in the show. The guy can actually act which was a real surprise. Even though he was playing a character of himself.

also I cant remember if it happens in this show but he can nail hecklers like Hicks used to also. I cant stand hecklers and i love watching comedians nail them down.

Agreed, his No Refund is one of his best sets. There are a couple more specials on Netflix, another couple on Amazon Prime, most of his albums are on Youtube. I make it a quest to try and catch everything he has done.

You can avoid ant of the Man Show he did though... he just doesnt work, for even cable.
