Well BP, knowing I called the redneck inbred moderator a redneck inbred, I dare not post there.
Besides you 20 something posters were busy making excuses and calling out the few people calling it the way it is, trolls. The umps, Jon Kruk and Curt Schilling are the problem. WOW
I'll be there tom. night for the Sox opener. Hope to see ya.

Again, there is a big difference between message board Cub fans and actual Cub fans.

Don't count me in with some of the idiot fans in that game thread. I've never made any excuses in my life when it came to playin ball. I've never had to. The one thing I said that the Home ump was inconsistent, and he was, I also followed that with the Cubs need to counter that with being more aggressive at the plate.

It's one fuckin game of the year, if you think that will keep me down, you don't know me very well. Unlike your fake ass "like both teams", I will take a break from the crosstown shit and wish you guys good luck in your opener.

Wow, 10-1 and some costly mental errors on defense? I guess it's gonna be quiet for another day, huh? How'd that bullpen look today?

I don't count you in with certain over the top fans. I consider you reasonable.
Having time to watch last nights game and perusing other Cubs boards, I noticed a 24/7 stat geek "wonk" Cub fan actually say "If this was't wainwright we'd be stomping them right now" a little meatballish ya think? And this guys opinion is valued on Scout .com

I don't know about all that, but I would say that Wainwright outpitched Lester in this 1st game. Also, even tho the Cards doubled the Cubs in hits, it was 3 hits with men on base that made the difference in this game. I like the Cubs chances since Lester wasn't himself, and the Cubs have yet to bring up Bryant, Baez, and Russell.

But the 150 mil. dollar man can't hold a runner on first and can't get the lead runner out. That there is serious mental mistakes.:turrible:

I'm not sure how you call that a mental mistake, imo. I call it a safe decision. I haven't seen the replay yet, but it looked to me like Lester caught his spike as he was falling towards the 1st base side of the mound, and he took the safe play by throwing out the runner at 1st.

It's also hard to argue since it led to no runs and Lester getting out of the inning. Ramirez and Johnson's miscommunication, however, led to 5 runs. :dunno:

Having said that, I do think Lester not wanting to throw it over is weird, and I think we'll hear more about it moving forward. I think Maddon will help him out here.

Interestingly, it could place emphasis on the throwing arm for Cubs C's rather than the framing that has been so much talked about.

Oh, and I keep hearing about this 150MIL bullshit. Now it's bad the Cubs spent money? It was the market for him, right? I wonder what the Sox will offer the Shark moving forward???

Both teams looked like shit.

I've been indifferent on all Cubs/Sox banter for several years, with the exception of the Crosstown Classic days.

That being said, this whole situation with the Wrigley Field renovation is fucking hysterical.

Whole situation? So, in a couple more years, we can look back and say.....

"Remember that one game on opening day where two bathrooms malfunctioned during the rebuild, and cuz the bleachers weren't completed, a bunch of drunk Cardinals fans pissed all over Wrigley field"?

I guess it could be worse.... we could be saying "Man, here goes another year without a fuckin bullpen". :dunno:
