Does JJ still think Lester is a bum??

It was a weird year for Lester, imo. He did struggle in the 1st half a little, but pitched great in the 2nd half. I do think it's normal when a pitcher switches league to take some time to adjust. The real weird thing for me, though, was the lack of run support we gave him. I remember 5+ games he could have won if we hit the ball better.

And Brett, I do have to compliment you for staying away from the Cubs MB during their playoff run. I really hope it was from respect for what the Cubs were able to accomplish, having even falling short. Regardless, thank you for that. :yep:

Was it longer than the time it took you to set the timer for the fries?

:troll:

It was definitely longer than you took to eat them.

Contrary to some of our "senior" members I really don't troll this board. I may often provide the flip side, but that's different.

Honestly, I am a Mets fan and yes it goes back to 1969 which I did not learn until the early 80's. But that said, I think the Cubs did a pretty heck of a job. There wasn't really much to be critical I felt. I also felt it was your time to shine and I didn't want that spoiled.

I think the Cubs are going to be tough outs for the next couple of seasons, especially if they sign a pitcher or two (I just don't see any of it coming from the minors). They get that done and yeah, I am going to be upset, but in a weird way happy for you guys too. I'm also hoping that my owner gets jealous and does something about it. They have for the most part in the pitching department. Now they have two years to do that on the offensive or defensive side of the ball. If somehow the South Siders can do that, I am hopeful for the biggest ulcer ever if somehow the two Chicago teams would meet in the WS.

You all are going to be just fine next year. Just get to the playoffs and take your shots.

We should go back to your predictions of the Cubs and Sox this year and see how far off you were. Bear Pride was much closer with his team. 8 wins away from everything. Welcome back, bud.
