That's good... can we go back to discussing documentaries now, or nah?
Hey you started the hijack, not me.

Sorry Ares. Obviously I posted in the wrong thread, as Burque pointed out.
Have you seen any of Adam Curtis's docs? You might find them interesting. Not docs in the sense of a specific and focused subject, but more like theses that foster a lot of thought, whether you agree with his takes or not.
I don't believe I have, but I will be sure to look him up.
I forgot one I watched yesterday... was about the Chavez coup attempt.... made me realize I honestly didn't know (and still really don't) shit about Chavez or that coup attempt.
Anyone watching the new series that just came out about the history of the war on drugs in the United States?
Its called: Americas War On Drugs.
Part 3 is on the history channel tonight. I have them recorded but have only gotten about a half an hour into the 1st one. Looks like they are pealing back the curtain on the CIA's involvement not only in Crack, but also in Acid and other drugs as well. Some of it is dramatized a bit, but seems like an interesting series so far if you are into that sort of thing.
 the only reason I heard about it was from a commercial.I been catching chunks of it... honestly I thought it was a re-run of something they had done a while back.
They didn't seem to advertise that they had done a new series.

The first 2 episodes of the drug war doc were okay, but the third becomes a typical history channel re-enactment shitfest. Became difficult to watch seriously, but some good info over the first two shows.
Would have been way better if they just told the facts. The dramatizations added nothing and were at times confusing.
Please repost in the Amusing gif thread unless there is a documentary about exploding electronics you are trying to tell us about!
But it's a brand new doc ares, made by The Truth Project.
