Ok, going to bed for the night. Played for about 2 hours or so and didn't really accomplish anything. Time flies when you're playing these kind of games.
Here are some thoughts:
-Sword/axe/mace/hammer fighting seems harder than Oblivion. You really need to use block and really pick when you attack an opponent if they're blocking. Died one time so far and it was by the hands of a bandit with a two handed axe.
-If you don't want to sword fight, magic seems really really powerful. Which also means enemy mages can be difficult to defeat. Casting spells is really beautiful to see.
-There is a ton of shit you can pick up. You can (like in the fallout games) use stuff you pick up to craft items or armor.
-Haven't encountered a dragon in the wild yet, but I'm dreading that moment. It's going to be intense.
-When you kill something with melee, there's a neat kill cut scene.
-Bug wise, there really hasn't been anything major. I thought it was freezing one time, but it was just doing its first auto-save. Did have two drops in framerate, but I'm not too worried about that.
That's all I can think of without spoiling anything about the intro. Which was pretty cool, but I absolutely hate those tutorial levels in games.
Going to be an awesome experience to play through this.
