Watson is either really good or really bad. There's no in between. At times he can light it up offensively and look like a competent PG, but other times he looks like by far the worst player on the court.

It's quite nauseating. I get nervous as chit when he spells Derrick.

The Bulls' ideal back-up point would be someone like Eric Maynor - can score but is pass-first and can hit threes (and not a liability on defense).

Then the Bulls' offense wouldn't stall, and would more consistently keep rhythym, in every second quarter, after Rose gets subbed out.

CJ is what he is, if he was a stud you don't get him on the contract to be a backup guy. I don't think he's terrible really, he's not quite hitting his shots as well as he was for the Warriors yet but his assist & shooting numbers are still better than what Kirk was putting up for us last year. Sure he doesn't have the ability to defend two guards so he's not as all around good as Kirk but he's also on a third of the contract.

I really see no need to look to obtain someone else, just so long as we don't ask him to make JJ and Scal look good and give him someone worth passing to he's fine.

I will take Watson over Hinrich (dollar-for-dollar), any day of the week.

Watson is going to be the best we can get for the role he will be. He is just a backup behind D Rose we shouldn't expect some dominant backup. He gives us pop off the bench and should only get better.

Iverson can't accept that everybody gets old, there's a reason no team in the NBA signed him.

yeah his ego & pride not accepting coming off the bench

Its about playing time. He already knew he was coming off the bench. I don't believe he was delusional enough to believe he would start ahead of Brewer or even Bogan, who contribute more on both sides of the court...but then again, who knows?

Watson is shooting 16% from 3 and getting 2 assists per game. Kirk put up 38% from 3 and almost 5 assists per game. Granted...Watson is getting a 3rd of the playing time that Kirk got (and still gets in Washington...go figure) and his per36 numbers are probably better, but as it is, Watson is better than Kirk by contract value only as of right now.

Watson's shooting percentage (I didn't say three point percentage, he's taken 6 attempts) and assist per minute rates are better than Kirk's. Of course he's playing less minutes, like I said he can't guard 2 guards so Kirk is better overall. I'm just saying that people complaining about him as a backup point guard are being pretty harsh when he's out performing a guy who was the starting PG here before Rose came along.

(Of course they were pretty harsh on Kirk too, so perhaps that explains it)

Watson is a below average player and that is it. He had good scoring numbers last season because he was with the Warriors. He has been exposed. He has a ton of flaws and the one that stands out to me is his over dribbling and lack of court vision. He will have to do for the time being unless the Bulls make a move before the deadline. He is certainly our biggest flaw right now coming off hte bench.

like i started this with if we can move him any way possible we need to do it & pick up a better option
