Bulls weak point is SG and probably will be for some time. Unless we can package up Korver, Bogans, and Watson for some quality starting SG, dont see us getting anything until the offseason if there's still an MLE (Probably wont even be a season next year...)

Like I didn't notice. But what can we realistically do? Wish in one hand, shit in another? Right now we gotta make these guys feel like home, see if they make something happen. Bogans is fully capable of being a solid player, and Brewer could be a total stud.

Mind you, and this is speaking for Brewer, most SG's not named Wade, Jordan, Kobe, don't break out until they're 27-ish. We can play ring-a-round the rosie for a few years and get nowhere, or we can wait this out. Depending on the whole lockout situation, we might be able to kick ass in the lottery with the Bobcat pick. I sure as hell would rather be patient while all of these players are still bonding with Thibs, than shop the NBA for everything that hits the block.

Brewer is doing alright in the minutes he's playing, I don't think we're fully adjusted to him yet so we're probably not getting him the ball when we should when he's in position. He can score a bit more than he has, and otherwise he's been doing what you'd expect, high FG%, steals, low turnovers.

He's solid enough as a SG unless some great deal comes up. But to get the most out of him relies on Deng being able to hit shots, when Deng is slumping like he has been it's hard to play a guy who can't shoot next to him.

Excellent post. The issue with having Brewer at the 2 is that Deng is a pretty limited SF. If you have a guy like Brewer at the 2 you need a more dynamic slashing type SF to offset Brewer. Right now you have a SG that doesn't score much and isn't much of an offensive threat playing with a SF that isn't great off the dribble and is a spot up guy. Not having a low post scoring threat hurts that wing situation as well. Boozer coming back will help Brewer and Deng a bit but you still have a bit of an imperfect/odd pairing at the wing with Deng and Brewer given the current make up of the team.

Just to elaborate on the Deng point a bit. he's not really having the good of year thus far either. That Portland game thus far as been a HUGE anamoly. In the 11 other games he has played this season he is averaging 16ppg on 37% shooting.

Aren't we kind of forced to have CJ as our backup PG. I mean Lucas is no better then Watson.
