some people enjoy movies but not films. Those people should not critique films like they would critique movies. Some people dont even know what 'critique' even means.

What we have here is a case of criticism of a film, as if it were a movie.

That is the most pretentious bullshit I have seen on these forums. The Godfather trilogy are movies they are movies just like The Fast and the Furious are movies. Sure quality differs but movies are movies and films are movies.

Laugh all you want. He had some great films and fizzled out. Apocalypse Now Redux is a great film, and proves my point that he was a monster in the 70s.
Sometimes it happens (directors pooping the bed). Dracula didn't do anything for me. Godfather 3 was a cash grab. I'll have to watch Rainmaker. That's one of the films that escaped me.

Man I don't get that movie at all. I tried watching because of how it is supposed to be a masterpiece and yeah that entire movie does not take place on earth or if it does it is the twilight zone. It was the bizarrest, most detached from any semblance of reality I have ever seen. Star Wars is more plausible than the shit that takes place in that movie.

Sorry, I didn't know it was pretentious to use two different words, differently.

Getting even further off topic...has anyone seen "Observe and Report" staring Seth Rogan?

It seems like a total a ripoff of Paul Blart and then takes this sharp left turn and becomes something closer to "Taxi Driver". Bizarre movie I highly recommend to those who love bizarre movies.

1 & 2: Classic - have seen probably a dozen times and will see again. 3: Very serious contender for worst movie I have ever seen. E-ver.

3 wasn't a bad movie at all. Just if you compare it to the first 2 then yeah its nowhere near as good. But as a movie itself i found it good. And it gave closure how everything happened

Part 3 was an okay movie I guess, but it wasn't a film.

I shoot all of my "movies" digitally, so they are badly framed 1s and 0s.

It was very close to the release date of the original Blart movie...if I recall right. Small release compared to Blart and flew under its radar. I figured it would be a more obscene version with the usual Seth Rogan style comedy.

Caught in on cable one night and was blown away by what I just watched. Maybe the "Taxi Driver" comparison sets the bar too high, but it gets really dark in the third act for a movie starring Seth Rogan and Anna Farris.

I don't want to say anymore as to not spoil it for any of you folks that have never seen it. Worth the time, IMO.

My problem with the third movie is that it just feels totally unnecessary. Pacino revisits the character well, but the rest is more long winded than the original and has the feel of a lot folks reluctant to do it in the first place.

(Beginning and ending with the director)
