In this case, a meatball sub.
Red Gravy all the way on a meataballa sub.. In fact, the meatballs should simmer in the red gravy for a while to fully appreciate the flavor

There was a local Pizza joint I used to visit in the McKinley Park area of Chicago that used to put red gravy on their Italian beef. The beef was marinated in the red gravy instead of the brine used at other places..It was a nice alternative once in a while.

Srs tho who would even pick this option?

I feel like it lies to you....

Dry... but with gravy, so wet, really.... but.... natural gravy?

**** that even mean? Red gravysauce is not some natural pan dripping bullshit, iz a slow cooked gravysawce masterpiece.

Do people get like Italian beef gravy sauce on meatball subs? Fuk is that?

Never done Italian beef with red sauce and mozz, now I want that.

I have never seen a meatball sub with Italian beef gravy on it. That must be some yuppy shit.

The red gravy Italian beef place has long been closed, but it sure was tasty back in the day. They did the same thing with their Italian sausage sandwiches...The sausage was marinated in the red gravy.

Everything that came out of that place was good. I never got a bad sandwich or pizza from that place.

It was owned by an Italian woman and was family run.

If there is one thing I miss about Chicago it is the ethnic neighborhoods. They all had their specialty food places. Italian, German, Polish, Lithuanian, Chinese, Blacks, etc. You would never go hungry!

When I was growing up lots of people put red gravy on sausage. Not my thing, I prefer hot giardinara.

Red gravy on beef, **** that.
