6th timehave you been blind for over 20 years?
Seems like you're finding an easy out. What was your favorite soul food restaurant with wings missing from the menu?6th time
Like I said...I'm not saying you couldn't find them, but I've never seen em
I haven't been in Chicago in 20 years
The restaurants you googled probably weren't even in existence 20 years ago..The ones I ate at are closed now
I never saw chicken wings on the menu in a black owned restaurant...get some education
Name one in Chicago from 20 years ago...and show the menuLiterally every soul food or black owned restaurant has chicken wings...it would be a bigger surprise if they did not have chicken wings

I think that it's pretty SUS that somehow soul food restaurants 20 years ago that @Angry Boomer "frequented" decided to serve fried chicken, but refused to use the wings. It sorta goes against the whole underlying mantra of soul cooking, where you're using stuff that typically gets discarded, trying not to waste any part of an animal you're butchering, doing big flavors but being thrifty....Soul Food Menu - Chicago IL - Josephine's Southern Cooking

I know you are an idiot, but chicken wings are a staple in soul food. Never seen a soul food restaurant in Richmond without wings...and honestly I don't know how much I would trust a soul food restaurant that did not serve wings

I've also never seen in any decade,, any store selling whole chickens minus the wings, or any place that serves fried/baked chicken, only offering thighs/breasts and legs.
Coming from a family who owned a restaurant in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, back then you did not throw away product that could be sold. I know the concept of basic economics and business is lost on someone who would drive hours to a bowling alley to a gig to only lose money. But I would imagine any restaurant that is serving every other part of the chicken would not consider just throwing away a part that can be sold for profits.
It's like going to McDonalds, ordering the combo meal and throwing away the fries.
I wonder if @Angry Boomer only goes to BBQ restaurants that don't have rib tips on the menu.
@Angry Boomer - "i'Ve neVEr SeEN buRnT EnDS on A bbQ mENu!!"
@Angry Boomer "never been to a pizza joint in Chicago that has breadsticks or garlic knots, every pizza place I frequented threw leftover dough in the trash. must be something new in the past 20 years"
"Hey Guiseppe, should I keep these leftover tomato pieces for our bruscetta appetizer?" Nah toss them
What kinda chili place has hot dogs? Or it's a hot dog place that also serves chili? Never seen it. Is this new?I accidentally spilled chili on my hot dog once.
Dammit!
@Angry Boomer "last time i was in chicago 20 years ago, if you went to a steakhouse and wanted a porterhouse, you'd have to order a strip steak and a tenderloin, and see if they still had the bone back in the kitchen. Porterhouses? Never seen em."
@Angry Boomer is the kind of person who will get store bought beef stock after chopping up veggies and having left over beef bones
Sous chef to Exec chef at @Angry Boomer's fav seafood restaurant - "aayy boss, you want me to take all these shells and make a nice bouillabaisse or chowde??"
"ABSOLUTELY NOT. DO YOU THINK THIS IS SOME SORTA SOUP KITCHEN?"
