For me, it was love or hate. We all loved him shootin the lights out, but I just couldn't take the t/o's and selfish play in the end. Then he wanted to start and a ton of money. His past few years should be enough to conclude that that Bulls made a good decision.

Selfish?
LOL

How is being one of the only guys left in the playoffs to score because half the team was injured, SELFISH?
Nate performed his job and specialty which is to shoot the ball because he's a scorer, thats what he does.
Would Nate be more unselfish in your eyes, if he did another job instead of his expertise???????
And Nate didnt have half bad creative floor vision when he did pass the ball

If anything, Nate would of been better suited for our current team than last years, because he wouldnt have to play as many minutes because we got Rose now...So Nates 2 to 4 minutes at a time while Derrick rests could of beent spent just focusing on his SPECIALTY.....While Derrick would of been chilling and not increasing his risks getting injured again, Nate would be out there Puting points on the board....Then Rose comes out and does his thing.....IT WOULD OF BEEN A CONSTANT SCORING ROTATION THAT WOULD HAVE WORKED OUT GREAT, PROBABLY.

Or Nate most likely would have been productive as hell for limited minutes with Rose on the floor to get the double teams off of Rose Also.

SELFISH? Come awwwwwwn!!!!!

Nate is not Derrick Rose and never was supposed to be.
Whos said anything about comparing him to the super duper types.
I never said anything other than that hes a hell of a nice asset to have coming off the bench with this current Team.
Better than what we got coming off the bench for scoring right now or as a backup on the bench for the backcourt.....

Taking the offensive load and puting the team on his back was UN-SELFISH.
His teammated loved him.

I never heard of teammates being so fond of selfish players.

But cool think what you want...If thats how you see it, then thats how you see it.

I think Nate was a pleasure to have around..
The truth is the Bulls wouldnt have probably even made the playoffs without him last year.
Or if they did, they certainly would NOT have made it out of the 1st round.

Im sorry but im not saying hes Jordan or of that caliber, but Nate is an IMPACT scorer.

Probably would of been wise to keep an offensive player like Nate around for now.

Dont you see the value in having an instant scoring impact like that you can call off the bench at anytime during a game when the Starters arn't hitting shots like for large portions of lastnights game against the Knicks.

Had someone like Nate been available lastnight off our bench, the Bulls wouldnt have had those long scoring droughts the last 2 games. And this season without that type of instant scoring coming off the bench, expect a lot more games like what we saw lastnight and in the opener against the Heat.
Oh by the way, Nate killed the Heat in alot of meetings with them last season and in the playoffs.
Sure for the 2 to 4 minutes at a time Nate may take alot of shots, but he'd most likely hit most of them, unlike the great Dunleavy who has NOT been able to do consistantly against very good teams the first 2 games this reg season.

With that said, Nate usually scores his best against the best teams.

Thats how i saw it and see it....period.
Nothing i say can convince you so, oh well.. Stand pat in your belief, ill stand on mine.

And please dont complain to me about post lenghths to force an argument, but instead actually read through it.
Learn. You know how to read somthing longer than 3 sentences dont ya?
Some of my posts are long, but i like to end the debate in 1 shot instead of wasteful back and forth nonsense and pettiness.

hmmmmm, 1 shot......kind of like Derrick did last night............ahaaaaaaaaa !!!!!! aint i a stinker? :D

Okay, cool then, i won this little DEBATE..dont HATE.
Nate was a keeper, sorry...Its not my fault its true.

Pure shooters like Nate are hard to find for reasonable affordable prices bro...............

And you want me to leave the forum bro?
When have i ever done a thing like that??
Why, because im the fucking man and your not???
:andruw:

Yup, thats right, i sent you a pm lastnight to try once again to make peace, but you refused to response.
So thats why i had to come here just now and kick your ass like i just did.
Thats what i have always done here and will continue to until you well, just quit i guess....:rolling:

LOL at watching Jordan and Pippen dominate for a decade...and calling Nate a keeper! You have to be kidding me! Keepers don't skip around from team to team for their whole careers. I wonder if they missed Nate in OKC? Do they pine for him in New York? What about Boston or Golden State? No? You know why? ALL OF THOSE TEAMS HAVE BETTER GUARDS! LEGIT STARTERS!

Nate is not a Thibs type of player. All the right things were said, but they are not compatible. In the meantime, the Bulls have one of the best backup point guards in the game who can play well on both sides of the court. It is not about Nate...he is not a difference maker. You really think people in Denver are happy with losing Iggy...and gaining Nate? Lol...you have to be kidding me with this stuff.

And Ben Gordon is a has been who needed the Bulls more than the Bulls needed him.

ehhhh

i layed off kirk at the end of last year

hes a solid game manager/defender but hes not gonna gave in much in terms off offense outside of maybe 1 or 2 opens 3's

we could def use a guy that can come in and hit some quick shots

Dude, I guess it's back on iggy for you. Just ain't worth my time! First off, I wasn't even talking about Nate! I was talking about Ben Gordon in response to something Poohdini said. Then you go off on another rampage talking about something I didn't say.

As far as Nate, I Love him, and there's a place for him on any team of mine. Just like I fuckin said before, man. I wanted Nate to stay as much as anyone. Go read my posts!

I think you need some help, man. I'm out. You're on Iggy again. Please don't respond to me anymore, and I'll do the same.

I swear, man, some people have the comprehension of a 5 year old. People in this world need to listen to what others say, then talk about what was said. It's a huge problem today on MB's, and in the World, IMO. It's called communication! :smh:

NOBODY is downing Kirk here.
In fact ,nobody even mentioned Kirk.
What we ARE talking about is SCORING help.
The Bullls DOOOOOOOO need it.
PERIOD.

But yes, when Kirk is healthy, he is definately a benifit to have around too.
But Kirk does not help much at all in the scoring department other than a few random games from time to time.

Well okay, carry on...........:)

The team doesn't need "instant offense" the team needs CONSISTENT OFFENSE! You get that with a star player! You don't get that with role players. The Bulls are not a role player from winning rings...and Dunleavy is as productive a scorer as Nate is....

And I doubt seriously if Knick fans are looking for Nate...they have J.R. Smith....OKC is waiting on Westbrook. Nate doesn't change anything down there. And GSW misses Nate? Curry just dropped almost 40 last night! With 9 threes...if they need help...Nate can't provide what they need. Nor will he provide what the Bulls need.

well that constant offense isnt coming so you gotta look at instant....how many times do i have to say that?....why keep standing around waiting for this prime Ray Allen that happens to play Bruce Bowen defense...and get him for the min at that?....sometimes you gotta settle and take what you can get

and last year fans of nates old teams commented on how they miss nate and would like to have him back (mainly Knick/Celtic fans)

who cares if curry dropped 40? hes a starting PG....nate comes off the bench...if your question was would they rather have him over their starters then the answer is no...nobody would...i fail to see your point

Dunleavy is more a catch and shoot guy and up this point hasn't done that well but i'll give him time....nate could create....rather have nate...we need another guy rose doesn't have to baby feed

The will never see the point...hence the Ben Gordon b.s. for like the last 3 years...

So why worry about Nate? How much will his instant offense help if he is playing very limited minutes? With Rose and Hinrich on the squad and Butler starting...how many minutes would Nate get ideally? Not enough for him to make a big difference. To me he is another guy to whine about...but he ain't to answer to any questions worth asking. He is NOT the creator you need with Rose...and he is NOT a star. Rose would most definitely have to baby feed Nate...or Nate would lose control...and so would Thibs...who it seems NOBODY has figured into this equation. Thibs and Nate longterm??? Don't think so...

your point is hes not a star so why bother...i dont agree with that...maybe 4 years ago i would have but at this point im willing to take what we can get because that 2nd star isnt happening

but you know what i agree with you i dont think him and Rose would be a great match together...i picture Nate coming in with the 2nd while Rose is out of the game

Ben on other hand i think could work with Rose and the 2nd unit...so if they bring him in next year letting nate walk wouldn't have been so bad....but i doubt it happens....we'll bring in another Dunleavy type

Thibs requested Hinrich...and so did Rose. Thibs requested JL3....that is why he got so many chances...Paxson took Nate for the same reason he took Nazr...he was there.

So no...I won't stop with the "Thibs doesn't like this guy or that guy" arguments! And who are you to tell me to stop using those arguments when you advocate getting a has been (or a "never was", depends on who you ask) and acting as if he is the answer to the Bulls problems? Good grief...your answer to the Bulls problems can't get his ass off the bench...in CHARLOTTE! If I showed up with a pair of jumpers, I could at least get garbage time!

The Bulls have one of the best backup combo guards you can get in Hinrich...under contract, Rose makes the maximum...Bulls NEED to get under the cap or risk spending way too much money on mediocre players like Nate...oh...

And besides the b.s. you are trying to sell about fans wanting Nate so badly...why didn't anyone pursue Nate? His contract is barely above the minimum. Maybe you need LeaguePass? I don't know...but Nate isn't a Thibs guy, his shot selection is horrible. And paying a player 2+ mil a season to play behind Rose, Butler and Hinrich (who Thibs likes better) isn't economically feasible. Not when you have the WORST BACKUP CENTER IN BASKETBALL! Needs should in most cases be higher on a priority list than wants. Nate isn't a need, so who cares.

if thibs wants JL3 over Nate than maybe its best we dont listen to thibs opinion on who to bring in anymore

Nates mediocre but Dunleavy is not? okay

the nate-hinrich backcourt wasn't bad...besides kirk is always hurt

now you're rambling on about how we need a backup center..okay...i mean i agree with you but its not like they used that money to get a backup center they used it on MDJ

we dont need more scoring? okay

i dont understand why nate couldn't get a deal

and ben is getting dicked in Charlotte getting DNP-CD is a insult...as far as pistons he wasn't a good fit there...if he comes here he'll be getting the best looks of his life off rose breaking down the defense and will have a bounce back year...im positive....im not even trolling or trying to be annoying....ive actually cut back on my BG stannrey and have tried to be more of a legit poster around here instead of being grouped with trolls...but others bring him up soooo

Would he be useless here? Let's see...Rose, Butler, Hinrich....yeah, pretty much. Why waste valuable cap space on someone you can't afford to NOT play? As for your Ben Gordon stuff....BG was a jerk last year and that is why he was limited in playing time...and when he was being shopped in a trade...NOBODY WANTED HIM.

You seem to have a bloated view of your favorite players. Just sayin'
