Best block of episodes so far. MJ calling Burrell a Ho was my favorite LOL moment.

Agreed. Episode 7 was fantastic.

Anyone else agree that they are showing Pippen in more of a negative way in this doc?

yea that Pippen Kukoc last shot thing. wow. I never knew about that.

The 1.8 sec thing was big news at the time. I was watching the game and was stunned to see Scottie on the bench. From what I remember, Bill Cartright of all people was instumental in getting Pippen's head straight again.....it was a selfish thing to do which seemed at the time to be out of character for Scottie. But who knows? You'd have to be there to know for sure as we only know these guys from a distance.

To be fair to Payton, he did slow MJ down. He slowed him down to 28ppg(which is still good)
For a long time I figured Jordan wanted the story book ending in his mind.. thus I felt he more so tanked Games 4 and 5 than what Gary Payton did, so he could win Game 6 on Fathers Day and have that moment.

MJ didn't really tank Game 5 though.

I remember that game and the controversy that followed. Got to give Phil credit balancing all those alpha personalities for so long. Usually those stacked teams don’t last.

I loved last Sunday’s episodes. Found the ones last week boring but these two episodes were great

MJ didn't really tank Game 5 though.
He shot 50% from the field on 26 points, had 1 assist and his team scored 78 points, their lowest in the entire playoffs.

Scoring wise for him it wasn't a tank, but it wasn't a good overall game, and the team had a poor game overall. You don't have to buy into the theory. Jordan hinted at it himself in the doc though.

Shooting 50% from the field against Payton on 22 shots doesn't really seem like "tanking" the game...unless he got Pippen to buy into the theory and cover his ass by Pip shooting 5-20.

My son loved that part, and has added that to his smack talk to me when we play against each other. Love that my 11 yr old asked me where my mouth was at now ho when we were playing a hockey game yesterday

Seeing footage of those games again what I know is they really were something special. Shining a spotlight on their on and off the court struggles doesn't diminish it at all. It just shows they were human and that makes their accomplishment even more amazing. Seeing all the work, artfulness, and will to win behind their dominance is still pretty inspiring.

To most of us in the Chicago area.... the vast majority of this series is just reliving what we have already seen and lived through as Bulls and MJ fans. I really think it's targeted at young NBA fans and fans in general across the country that were watching the Bull's run from a far. There has been a couple of things I had not heard before but it's pretty much rehashing what I already knew. Still....after watching what the Bulls are calling basketball these days....it's pretty damn enjoyable.

It’s been a great series so far. I especially liked the reminder clip of the dream team showing Jerry Krause how great Tony kukoc is...priceless

I don't think so as the negative attributes of Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman has been discussed in detail. It was on only right to discuss his as well.

The sad thing is watching this and actually having been blessed to watch Jordan and Pippen play only to see the current state of the Bulls franchise is depressing

I also believe this documentary gives insight as to why people need to stop comparing Jordan and James as they are and were two different players.

I really dont know what triggered this, Kobe's death and the desire to make sure the world got to see it from Michaels side.
What I personally remember was the bulls losing the playoffs upon Mikes return, but then him leaving to go make movies. I like how those pickup games were shown, trying to see all those players that were actually there making up 5 on 5's, and instead of it burning Michael out, it fueled him to lead the best team in history. It is more enjoyable learning some of the things I really never even thought was happening.

That being said, this morning on ESPN's ticker, what do I see, that "Our of respect" the Mamba has been retired from the Mamba Sports Academy, and it will just be called The Sports Academy.

Sad, usually places get named after someone dies out of respect. Maybe Mike saw how quickly they are forgotten.
