Well I had said in the "What Are You Playing Now?" thread that I was packing it in for this console generation, and that I was ok in missing out on this game until Sony got their streaming service up and running on the PS4. Well I changed my mind. This game will indeed be my last game of this generation. Just pre-ordered it on Amazon. The reviews are too good to pass this up.

With the Amazon pre-order you also get a digital download of the game's soundtrack (which I hear is absolutely fantastic), a dynamic theme, and two avatars.

Does everyone like the game? Usually I won't drop $60 on something that doesn't have MP but the reviews are fantastic for this game. I'm going to be getting a ps3 soon because there are some games on there that I would like to play. Didn't plan on getting any new games until the next gen consoles come out but I may have to make an exception for this.

I've scratched the surface of it, and it's amazing so far.

Ammo is hard to come by, so you really need to come up with a strategy before you do something. You also need to search every place you come by for supplies. Scissors and tape make Shivs, which you absolutely need when playing. It's a ***** to switch out weapons though when you do run out of ammo, especially if you're getting mobbed. Melee combat is necessary, so get good at it.

Yeah, I'm only playing on Easy because I didn't know what to expect, and I'm getting rocked in some areas still. If you use all your bullets, have no molotovs or shivs, and are in an area with a bunch of Clickers, you're screwed. Gotta conserve. Luckily with the bow and arrow it lets you pick up arrows you shoot enemies with. But I suck at aiming it on moving targets, so I lose arrows by missing a lot.

Just bought the game from game stop along with a few other games. Should be getting my ps3 thursday so I'm excited to play it

I haven't tried the multiplayer, but the word is that it's awesome. You pick a team, Fireflies or Hunters, and it's like TDM and stuff like that.

I just stopped and saved right after they kill Robert. So far I love the feel of the game

Get very good at sneaking and very good at headshots. Also use bricks and bottles to get people away from you if you have no ammos, shivs, or melee.

I've been going the LP route. And I must say, this has been one of the most entertaining let's play walkthrough games I have ever watched. LOL

I just finished Tomb Raider, and the mechanics are pretty much identical in the last of us demo that I tried. That's why I passed on the purchased.

Game of the Generation for me, after this I won't need reviews for anything else Naughty Dog puts out.

Fantastic experience. the gameplay, the score, and the STORY are all top notch. I've never played a game like this.

this is NOT the game to pass on, especially if you already have a PS3. This is the PS3's Ocarina of Time IMO
