The end of the Fall chapter and entire Winter chapter were some of them best experiences I've had in a game. Winter was phenomenal.

I caved and bought it. It's in my all-time top-10 easily. Maybe #1 if you just go by the story and cinematic experience. The gameplay is way too predictable because of the emotional pandering.

Does it just go by seasons? I stopped right once I hit the fall chapter and am about to pick it back up in a couple of mins. I don't want to look it up online because I don't want spoilers. Heard from multiple people the ending is whack.

Yeah it's split up into seasons. How the ending plays out is very dramatic and makes you say "damn dude", and no doubt has kickstarted a new blockbuster franchise from Naughty Dog.

How far you into it?

I don't think the ending is whack at all, its stuck with me since I've beat the game. A memorable ending is always good IMO

I'm saved at the final fight with Dave in winter.

The ending was predictable, but good.
You gotta think like a business-man to understand why it ended the way it did. The Last of Us is just the First of Them.

Yeah I finished up the game last night and told myself it wasn't whack at all. I was expecting a big twist or something. Definitely set up for a sequel.

Apparently to Ellen Page thinks the game "ripped off" her looks and used her picture for Ellie. Could be significant if they decide to make a sequel, they may have to alter if if she ends up suing and winning.

She was mad at how the character used to look. They redesigned her character model late last year I believe to make the likeness less noticeable.

They still look a lot alike. That is pretty crazy. I wonder exactly what they plan on doing, whether it just end like it did or to expand it into maybe a trilogy. I loved the game and it is one of the best I have played and also one of my favorites but I wouldn't be mad at all if they decided it was just a single go around. While there may be some questions left unanswered I felt the story gave enough and was very satisfying beginning to end.

I think they'll definitely make a series out of it. That's just what Naughty Dog does with games. Although everyone is waiting for that "Unkarted" game so they don't break the pattern.

PS1
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
Crash Team Racing

PS2
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Jak II
Jak 3
Jak X: Combat Racing

PS3
(Team one)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

(Team two)
The Last of Us

I agree, I liked the ending too. Stimulates discourse as well

It's a love story. One that seems emotional to a lot of gamers, because their parents basically abandoned them for the TV set.

My brother bought this game and I just start playing it too.... Not a big gamer, but this one seems alright. Since I hardly ever play games, I suck at the controls and stuff... but I should pick it up soon enough.

Naughty Dog on The Last of Us: "This journey" for Joel and Ellie is complete; "We're not continuing that."

The main point of the article below:
As it turns out, Neil in fact said “this journey for Joel and Ellie is complete,” specifically referring “to the journey with the Fireflies and what they’re after with the cure and all that. We’re not continuing that.”

Druckmann then talked about the chances of returning to Joel and Ellie, or the world altogether, is “all up in the air,” but “there are people in the studio that would love to come back to these characters.” Before you get your hopes, the only way they’d return is if they “had something new, something meaningful to say” because “the last thing we would want to do is repeat ourselves.”

good, I'm of the mindset that this needs to be a standalone

Chris Smoove finished his playthrough of it...dang...what a game. Ending personally irked me a little, but I understand it. It's not necessarily a bad ending.

I played through the game and intently listened to all the dialogue and had no idea Nolan North (Nathan Drake, Desmond Miles) was the voice of David. What a great voice actor.

Just finished the game. It was a awesome... Don't know how i feel about the ending knowing that this is it for Joel and Ellie. If it continued with them, I thought it would have been just fine... but to end them like that?

I have a week set aside next month with lots of free time to delve into this game. I'm psyched.
