The end of the Fall chapter and entire Winter chapter were some of them best experiences I've had in a game. Winter was phenomenal.

Does it just go by seasons? I stopped right once I hit the fall chapter and am about to pick it back up in a couple of mins. I don't want to look it up online because I don't want spoilers. Heard from multiple people the ending is whack.
I caved and bought it. It's in my all-time top-10 easily. Maybe #1 if you just go by the story and cinematic experience. The gameplay is way too predictable because of the emotional pandering.

How far you into it?
I don't think the ending is whack at all, its stuck with me since I've beat the game. A memorable ending is always good IMO
She was mad at how the character used to look. They redesigned her character model late last year I believe to make the likeness less noticeable.

I'm saved at the final fight with Dave in winter.
The ending was predictable, but good. You gotta think like a business-man to understand why it ended the way it did. The Last of Us is just the First of Them.
I agree, I liked the ending too. Stimulates discourse as well
Naughty Dog on The Last of Us: "This journey" for Joel and Ellie is complete; "We're not continuing that."
The main point of the article below:
As it turns out, Neil in fact said “this journey for Joel and Ellie is complete,” specifically referring “to the journey with the Fireflies and what they’re after with the cure and all that. We’re not continuing that.”
Druckmann then talked about the chances of returning to Joel and Ellie, or the world altogether, is “all up in the air,” but “there are people in the studio that would love to come back to these characters.” Before you get your hopes, the only way they’d return is if they “had something new, something meaningful to say” because “the last thing we would want to do is repeat ourselves.”
