Last I checked, Russell Wilson is doing pretty good! He even beat out Justin Fields, the guy who had the more productive Bears offense in 2023 compared to Caleb Williams. I don't think Nix is all that good, but the lengths this forum goes to denigrate other players/teams is hilarious. Its like they can't admit that Caleb Williams is struggling.

I think Nix is having a fine year as a rookie. I dont think he is having as great a year as the media pretends nor do I think Caleb is having as bad a year as the media pretends.

But I’m not QB obsessive. The cure for the QB problem with the bears was never assets. It’s getting people in the building who know something other people don’t. Then you don’t need top picks and trading two first rounders for a QB.

The packers have gotten Favre, Rodgers and Love for a 33rd pick, 24th pick and 26th pick. Their excellence at QB has been a function of the abilities of people like Ron Wolf, not the willingness to use top assets. If Ron Wolf had been working in our front office, we might have had a 2nd round pick on our bench waiting to take over for Fields. A damn good one.

Bears fans never ask why the mccaskeys won’t hire someone like Ron wolf. They just wish for a savior and then act like because they want to be saved, said player must be a savior.

Of the biggest Williams fans I know personally, I don’t know one who didn’t oversell what Cutler would do. So they were wrong about Suckler but now they really really know something and others dont

Right
every bears fan on earth was squirting the Jizz when the Cutler trade went down, LOL

Are you serious?

As for the Brees thing, I said your summation of Brees "struggling early" was a bit of an overstatement. If that upsets you this much, then sorry.
I guess you and the town drunk think ESPN is the only rating service.

You said Brees struggled because he was trying to work through a shoulder injury when in fact he was benched three separate times before he injured his shoulder.

Nice try.

Williams is a rookie with a terrible offensive line which he sometimes makes worse by holding onto the ball too long which might be due to him being a rookie. Let see what happens in year 2 and 3.

Are you shitting me with this? The Packers started Brett Hundley and the Bears still lost. Not even remotely comparable.
Wasn’t that the game that John Fox challenged a play, got it right but lost possession of the ball?? Lol

The McCaskey influence. Virginia probably called down and said challenge it, if she could see it the refs would have to.
Fox forgot Virginia doesn't know the rules of football.

it would be a miracle if she even knows who she is

I believe he then got the punter & kicker's names incorrect in the post game presser too.
He was checked out by then

I always said he didn't want to coach anymore after the Broncos got massacred in the Seahawks Super Bowl. he was a secure hire by the Bears exclusively to fix their "broken culture". still don't understand the logic in dumping Marshall over that, but keeping Bennett, and Jeffery being depressed over everything when he's a fucking professional athlete.
