I'd be a huge fan of it, for sure.

Just really opposed to it happening at the expense of TT. Kesler could be a fantastic fill-in for 2 years until his current contract expires while TT is given time in Rockford and/or Chicago to get acclimated to the game in North America. Then you hand over the 2C role to Teuvo.

Still not convinced that Teuvo couldn't handle the role himself this season, but getting a proven guy like Kesler would be pretty cool, too.

TT could handle it I just think we need that guy to help kane out even more plus the fact that if the west gets better plus the kings not losing anyone of importance we could be in trouble.

Leino is a cancer. I dont think Bowman would be that stupid.

As for Kesler, I really think he is coming to the Hawks. But at what price? If its TT(which, i highly doubt) the Hawks are basically saying lets just load up for a couple more years then blow it up. I dont see TT being the main piece, more Leddy and Bickell or futures. I cannot, for the life of me, see Bowman trading away the prized prospect of his system, the same prospect that they restarted showing practices on their web site for, to be traded. There is too much invested into the guy already. You also have to take into consideration of what depth the Nucks will go into- a full blown rebuild? Or just a tweek. The sisters are still under contract and are untradeable. i cant see the Nucks going full tank for McDavid unless one of the sisters gets injured for a long amount of time.

The Kings are about to lose their leading scorer from the playoffs in Gaborik. That's someone of importance. Every offseason you go with this "we could be in trouble" theme yet the Hawks haven't missed the playoffs in any of those years.

Now as for Teuvo ... putting Teuvo and Kane on the same line together would be redundant, as they're both the same type of player.

Teuvo needs to go between Sharp/Saad and Hossa. Then you go throw Kane on the top line with Toews and Sharp/Saad.

I think Toews would be a pretty good center for Kane, ya know.

Think if we don't get Kesler that would be a good plan for TT, have him in between two vets in Sharp and Hossa. Think with TT playing along side those two would help with his growth and development, while not putting to much pressure on him.

Would be a very good top 6 of
Saad Toews Kane
Sharp TT Hossa

i didnt say anything about making the playoffs. I said the west is getting harder and harder and what i only care about is hoisting the cup. anything short is failure. we won the same thing the islanders did this year...nothing. there is this nice window of oppurtunity we have to make the best out of every season and get as many cups as we can. as far as gaborik, im sure he will be replaced by someone maybe not as skilled but the kings are very very strong still.

Didn't know that McNeill had shifted to wing. I'd long thought that he and Danault were each fighting for the same spot on the Hawks roster, ultimately: 3C. One would win the spot and the other would be dealt or released. But if McNeill is a winger that can make things more interesting. Versteeg won't be on this team forever and McNeill could be the heir apparent to his spot on the 3rd line.

Agree with the rest of your post but Gaborik's lost is going to be a HUGE blow to the Kings' offensive depth.

$13M

Also have to decide on

Willie Mitchell

Matt Greene
and they'll have a ton of RFAs/UFAs after next year.

they will still be very good this year if not the favorites again. their windows is smaller than ours but they still could repeat even without gaborik.

Hopefully McNeill will turn out like a bigger version of Ben Smith. I love the way Smith plays, would love McNeill to turn into that type of role player.

Yeah McNeill played RW on Danault's line most of last year. Don't you read "Pigs in Zen" on TCI?
