Agreed. The hate he got on here was shameful and pissed me off. Guy was a savage and his last year, gladly woulda kept him. Don't know why people were fine w him going. Moronic.

I was furious losing Lach. Before GPP and his smug answers come on here, I felt fine with DJ Williams. Was wrong. Just as I said Mel Tucker was a bad hire, he ruined everything on that defense.

But losing Urlacher was so huge. **** Emery for the way he went about that. That wasn't cool.

Seriously starting to kick in realizing I'll never see Urlacher ina Bear uniform anymore. I don't know how much more depressing it gets football wise than that. I'm a minority here but I'm still pissed the way Emery handled the situation as well as Urlacher not atleast signing the deal. Both did a shitty job in the issue, and I for one think Urlacher was gonna play at a high level this year. Sad to see my favorite Bear will leave the team without a ring. So dissapointing.

Coaching has nothing to do with just physically being unable to get off blocks for the most part at the NFL level.

Guy just never looked like a starting NFL athlete....it looks like he is fortunate enough to get another chance, we'll see what happens.

Emery was a dumpster fire. Took 2 strengths the Bears had in D and special teams and in 1 year destroyed it with his hires. Now Shea is most likely not an NFL player, but how do we know for sure with Tucker and an inept defense staff. I hope to god that Shea can contribute and not another Emery mistake, but I'm not optimistic.

Bears D was done, regardless of the HC/DC. Dearth of starting talent, and sad-sack depth. Any decent holdovers on D were well-past their prime and trending down rapidly, Emery was indeed a dumpster fire but he had no chance because of the JA debacle.

Ive been thinking about posting a more in depth analysis of why last yr's debacle was set to happen since about 2011, but was afraid no one would get me.

They were aging badly and their window was closing no matter what. It shut completely in early 2014.

I'm not holding my breath, this is supposed to be a system that he is better suited for...but to this point he has underwhelmed. I think at best he ends up rotating in but not as a starter.

I feel he is finally gonna be in a system that will play to his strengths and abilities. I have seen him blow some plays hell we all have but he has also made some dam good plays and all of that with tucker coaching him being played out of position and overweight. I feel his speed is going to really be a huge assest in this system and in the middle. my only real concern is how much is his lack of real str going to affect him in the run game
