Yeah we're 2-3 but we just beat the Chiefs without our top 3 receivers and with a shitty O-line in the vaunted arrowhead stadium...and our next few games are really bad teams that should be good wins for us.

The second half of our schedule is easy as well, honestly I think this team has a very solid chance to make it. The D continues to improve and Jay has made plays when he has had to.

WHO'S WITH ME!?!

I'm with you even after all the freakin injuries we've had. Honestly, our new fantastic coaching staff has done a great job. Just wait until we start to get some players back. Plus, we're still learning new schemes. People should be immensely happy with the character the Bears team is showing. Instead, all they talk about is getting the #1 pick?????????? Go figure. The ultimate in spineless if you ask me. :smh:

Bears fans accounted for about 1/3 of the crowd. We were quiet for most of the game. But we were louder than KC's at the end. So not so Vaunted Arrowhead it could have been a lot louder. Their fans are trained really well trained, I will give them that. In the end all they could muster was yelling "CHIEFS" at the end of our "LETS GO BEARS" chants. It was awesome.

we're not going to make the playoffs. 8-8 is a real possibility though

Have you noticed that the Bears are tied with the 5th best record in the NFC? And that they've done this with the most injuries in the league?

Shit, imo, Fox is early candidate for coach of the year!

This is a team that had to come from behind to eek out wins against two shitty teams, while scoring 18 & 22 points respectively. Playoffs? You have to be fucking kidding me.

Calling it right now that when we earn a 10 win season I'm going to bump this thread and call out all the chumps that have been doubting our capabilities.

If I'm wrong (which I won't be) feel free to bump this and I'll own up to it.

Who gives a shit? If we win 10 games we all will be happy.

I'd love for you to be right on this one... Ah well, Go Bears.

Ok. Guy who thinks he's cool so names himself ''spartan.''
Don't be offended. I understand that 2 straight wins over 2 teams with a combined record of 3-7 will really impress people who don't know anything about football and cause some knee jerk reactions.

Nah, I've given up on that shiznet. It's just nice to see a Bears fan that isn't ready to throw in the towel after 5 games. The funny thing is that if the Bears do put together a decent season, they will be all #calledit and shit.

While the Nancies whine and dine each other, I'm just appreciating seeing some of the best coaching we've seen in half a freaking century!!

Detroit Lions: W (3-3)
Vikings: W (4-3)
San Diego: W (5-3)
Rams: W (6-3)
Denver: L (6-4)
Green Bay: L (6-5)
San Fran: W (7-5)
Redskins: W (8-5)
Vikings: L (8-6)
Bucs: W (9-6)
Lions: W (10-6)

going 9-7 is the absolute worst I can see. 11-5 The absolute best, so let's go half way and give us 10.

To the OP, why yes, regardless of what the Bears do, the playoffs will occur this year. It isn't a possibility, it is a fact.

Let's take a look at the rest of the schedule:

Week 6: @ Lions
Week 7: BYE
Week 8: vs Vikings
Week 9: @ Chargers
Week 10: @ Rams
Week 11: vs Broncos
Week 12: @ Packers
Week 13: vs 49'ers
Week 14: vs Redskins
Week 15: @ Vikings
Week 16: @ Bucs
Weeek 17: vs Lions

I see 8 winnable games left. If we win all 8, that pushes us to 10-6. That's best case scenario, so basically if they were to lose just one of those winnable games, they're already out of a wildcard spot unless a team that's 9-7 can get in.

The 3 games that I see left that I don't think we have much of a chance to win is @ Packers, @ Rams, and vs Broncos. The way the Lions are playing, that's possibly 2 wins there. The Vikings are an enigma. I'm not sure what to think about them yet. Possibly a split?

Then you've got some crap teams left like the Redskins, 49'ers, Bucs, and Chargers that could be easier wins. I don't give them much of a chance to make the playoffs, but it's still fun to dream about.
