well, guess what?
The original plan had a certain merit in that if he sat for a year to learn he WOULD be "more" ready when he started.
Starting him NOW was always going to be learning on the job, a thing that eventually has to happen anyways, so starting him now speeds up his overall development although he is less ready to "start now" than he would be if he sat a year.
So OF COURSE there will be a learning curve. There would have been if he sat as well, but he'd have had more of a handle on "certain" things. So deal with it. We have a very athletic young ROOOKIE QB who is NOT shitting the bed. He's not Joe Montana yet either. He's a "solid rookie prospect who is showing that he is continually learning and improving". I think the future DOES look good with him. That is if we can get an o-line that can pass protect...
