It amazes me people are still anti Pace. If you were to tell this board when we hired Pace he would turn this team into a legit super bowl contender for years with a pro bowl QB, one of the the brightest offensive minds in football for HC, the best defensive player in football in his prime, and multiple pro bowl selections people would be asking why the McCaskey’s haven’t started on the plans for his statue outside of Halas Hall.

While technically true, it seems disingenuous to refer to Mitch as a pro-bowl caliber QB. The jury is still very much out on that conclusion.

At this juncture, Trubs inspires hope, not confidence.

Unfortunately i agree and am not all the way sold on our QB yet. Really hoping to see some good growth this year.

Yup and that being said, judging Pace's success, if you cant use win loss record, would mean to me that it all falls on getting the QB situation right. It's going to be pass/fail and the verdict is still not in.

Was the Cody Parkey signing bad before he actually signed him? Listen people i get that the Parkey signing turned out bad and that kid cost us games and a chance to go to the 2nd round of the playoffs but for anyone to think that R.Pace should of somehow known that Parkey would go from pro bowl kicker to what we got is living in a fantasy world cause it's impossible for him to know.

So he gets credit for good draft picks and excuses for draft misses?

Once you strip away everyone’s subjective bullshit measurement and evaluation tools, you arrive at the greatest truth: SCOREBOARD.

Measured in regular season division titles, playoff wins, and SB wins.

Totes agree.

Unfortunately, the man really responsible for the resurgence of the Chicago Bears just took a job 1500 miles away.

My guess is that if someone really looked at the transacarions he would be

Top 25% in drafting

Around 50% in free agency return

In addition to that he has 2 big dick moves that were homeruns in Mack and Nagy, those plus the drafting make him good at his job.

I am going to judge Pace on his ability to maintain what they did in 2018.

The first 3 years were rebuilding a shit team.

Can he maintain being good, Trubs is a huge part of that, is going to be the test.

I would say he’s done enough for me to have confidence in him. He improved greatly as the season went on and more and more time with Nagy is only a good thing.

That guy cost us at minimum 2 games last year by himself...

DB70's vagina is not football related.

Please take that discussion to the appropriate forum.

Thanks.

Nagy is a huge part of that as well. Everyone thought we might have something after Trestman's first year with us.
