Seriously?

Partly dreaming, partly ... Yeah I think that might be a solid start on the deal. The Yankees have wanted both Floyd and Danks IIRC. Danks wuold slip in to the two hole with floyd their 4/5

cano only got extended by a year right?

give them sanchez, thomson, floyd and another spec for a guy who is under team control only 1 year.

If we move floyd we cant afford to move danks.

Both had arm injuries the past season and are at least two seasons removed from a season ERA below 4. Danks by himself will make the same amount that Cano is, and the Yankees are trying to get below the luxury tax threshold. This seems pretty far fetched for a good defensive middle infielder that hits 300 with 30 HR power.

If Cano is available do you think there isn't a team out there that could beat that offer?

NO

:soxwin:

:soxtroll: indeed

The Mariners have been throwing money around and they have the pitching prospects that all baseball is drooling over. That would seem like one of many fits that could top that offer relatively easily. I know he only has a year of control but if the deal is made now you can make a qualifying offer and get something for him. The guy is a good defensive middle infielder that is also a middle of the order bat. Those don't exactly grow on trees, and the bidding could get ridiculous for him.

He was good in Milwaukee (for one season anyways) but it looks like when he went to the Pirates he kind of slipped.

He had a nice year and since then he has been a pretty below average player. Best of luck in Japan to him.

Two issues with the Mariners. 1) They stink 2) Cano can get money from a competitive team and would more than likely not sign long term with the Mariners which means the Mariners package would not be good and they probably pass

it would be nice. I have a feeling this roster with a few bench tweaks and BP tweaks is the team we will roll out.

There's that stuff you guys were talking about earlier:

The White Sox are looking around for a left-handed hitter, according to Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com (on Twitter). The club has also made it known once again that Gavin Floyd is available. Interest in the right-hander is said to be high and the Orioles are one of the clubs who have him on the radar.

White Sox are looking around for a left-handed hitter. Also have let it be known (again) that Gavin Floyd is available.
