Cutler is proven under Trestman..Palmer isnt..What has Palmer done to justify starting over Cutler?? I'll take Cutler anyday

Again FT...We just disagree..Im not gonna argue any longer

If Cutler is proven under Trestman then so is Josh McCown. Even if you think that Cutler runs Trestman's offense better than McCown (I don't, but even if you do), it's certainly not 19 times better.

McCown has started 1 game..hardly a reason to dump your starter for him

Seriously, no. And Cutler doesn't have Tourette's. Playing HS Football does not make you the board Psychologist.

I saw it tonight on Monday Night Football very clearly. My son has the same involuntary movements with his head and neck. I have no doubt after seeing what I saw tonight.--facebook on tourettes

Tourette syndrome (TS) is a neurological disorder characterized by repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics.

Im pretty sure he does not have Tourettes. I have similar movements, and in my case it is usually caused by a slight pain in my neck and me trying to "stretch" or pop it out.

Maybe Emery/trestman aren't sold on Cutler right now in November. What happens if Cutler comes back and has a Joe Flacco type of playoffs, and we win the Super Bowl? Not saying it's likely, but neither was the type of run that Joe Flacco and the Ravens went on last post-season.

Yeah, I know what Tourette's is. That's how I know Cutler doesn't have it.

92 minutes of football. 4 TDs, no turnovers. Triple digit passer rating. 24 points in a half against Washington followed by 27 and a win @ Green Bay. Then he comes in cold at the end of the Detroit game and proceeds to immediately march the team down to the end zone (something Cutler had failed to do in the preceding 55 mins). And even outside of his own personal performance, others around him played better. Forte was on fire. Marshall and Jeffery were still getting fed the ball. The chains were moving.

You would rather pay 19 million for another year of Cutler (or however many games he can get through) than let McCown take the reigns for a cool million and invest 18 million extra into the defense.

Come on .....

Almost everyone agrees the Flacco deal was a huge mistake.

I understand what Potash is trying to say and it's hard to argue against it because of Jay's injury history, his age and the recent success of McCown, but this is on Jerry Angelo and Lovie Smith. Jay was and still is a franchise QB that has some good years left and the only reason there is a debate about resigning him is because prior to Emery and Trestman the organization set him up to fail here.

Jay exposed the Bears' offensive incompetence under Jerry Angelo and Love Smith. Angelo surrounded him with bad receivers and an abysmal offensive line. Lovie went through 3 offensive coordinators and fired the only one who connected with Cutler and made him better.

I have an appreciation for Jay's career here because he was able to endure physical punishment, lack of talent and a clueless offensive philosophy. Jay was to talented to fail here and it's been a joy watching him play. I believe we should resign him because he's still in the prime of his career even if it is on the back end. I understand that we would be taking a risk with trusting Jay's ability to stay healthy, but Jay still gives us the best opportunity to win. I'm all for drafting a QB in the next few years to groom for the future, but I really want Jay resigned. He's a stud and I hope we can all look back on his career and appreciate how good he was. The only disappointment I have about his career is the injuries because they're probably a result of all the hits he's taken as our QB.

I am a huge Cutler fan, but if McCown can produce the way he has been for two to three more games, then you defiantly have a good point!

I saw the same thing. I'd rather sign McCown to a friendly 3 year deal that he'd be happy to take to be our backup and draft a rookie QB and let it ride. Thus allowing for more $$ to be freed up to spend on defensive free agents to hold down the fort while we slowly draft replacements on the D for the next few years...

I think you're reading a lot into nothing. How do you know Cutler's movements are involuntary and what have you ever heard in his speech that would indicate he has TS??

It was but he did something great to earn it. It's not as if he was getting injured and his backup was doing more than fine in his absence. He surely doesn't get the deal if that was the case.
