These almost TD’s are equally as pathetic as almost interceptions btw. If you watched last week foles should’ve thrown 3 ints btw. Almost.

I've watched Russell Wilson do this kind of crap for the last eight years. Sometimes it is just the ability to realize an opportunity and then put the ball where it can be caught. Is Foles the new long term solution to the Bears's problem? Absolutely not but if you look at any QB's game you can find at least three to five passes that 'should' have been intercepted. He has some work to do. For one the completion percentage is too low for long term success. There were drops and an INT that for all rights should have been a TD. He also got payback on one catch for a TD that probably should have been intercepted. But he will have a full week of practice with the first string and not as a backup so we will see if he is really an improvement.

All I can say is that his track record is better than Trubisky's. I've believed in giving the kid a chance and I've pretty much given up all hope that he can redeem himself. Maybe he can re-invent himself with another team but Foles gives this team the best chance to win, right now.

lol, bro,,,, Mitch is done. Nick is a damn good QB. Seems like your assessment of Nick is based on his time in Jax. that was a bad fit for him in terms of coaching and new playbook. Nick knows this system from past teams with experience within this type of playbook. he looked comfortable.

I dont blame you to be a Mitch fan. we all want to route for the player that wa drafted by the bears. but lets face it. He just it Mitch is not smart enought or experienacced enough to play within this playbook/system

Exactly what about his career is impressing you people?

You're basing the nut licking on winning the SB with a SB winning team.
Find the worst teams he was on in that career and that's how it's likely to play out on the Bears.
Really this is likely to be almost as bad as Orton vs Grossman.
Time to send in Truboles, Mitch's body with Foles' head.

Let's not forget that foles did this against a banged up defense that is bad when healthy. I know that foles is undoubtedly better because he can read defenses pre and post snap and therefore be in position to at least make the right throw. I think if he can stay healthy we can at least see some consistency now, but again don't get too excited about a performance against an awful defense.

Next week should be a good test to see where we are. Colts offensive line is stout and they can run the ball down teams throats. We need to fix our run defense and be ready next week. The colts defense also has looked very good. The bears need to fix their mistake prone play as well. So many penalties, dropped balls, and just simple poor fundamentals at times. Thats been a constant with this team and it needs to change.

the thing about that is nobody knows how shitty our pass protection is because Trubisky masked that with his ability to run. Nick can run just not well, he’s pretty much a statue. Leno and Massie will see every pass rush move now where asthey just collapsed the pocket and spied Trubisky.

I hope the tackles are ready.

Trubisky barely ran at all. He stayed in the pocket far too long on many occasions, and since he has little awareness, got sacked. If anything, we will see less sacks now. Although we’re not going to see a 40 yard QB scramble for awhile. I’ll take that trade off...

I’ll take 3-0 and let the season play out. How would this team look if Mitch and company had taken advantage of all the opportunities they left on the table in the first two games? Foles was getting the ball out on schedule and to the correct reads. Nagy can scheme so I believe a big improvement is coming for this team.

My biggest worry is the run D. Goldman’s loss is noticeable every week and the Colts have an excellent o-line. However, the beast that is Hicks looks like he’s in game shape now. Ask Matt Ryan what he thinks about Mr. Hicks.

He does stick it out there but he makes plays. He had the correct state of mind for the moment. OL just needs to keep improving to make this work.

He did not.
Even if he did, if it comes out when you hit the ground before other football moves, it's incomplete or in that case, an INT. " performs any act common to the game (e.g., tuck the ball away, extend it forward, take an additional step, turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. " He had longer possession than AR.

Every bear fan should know this by what happened to Calvin Johnson on a potential game winning TD that he caught and placed down to celebrate before establishing a strong enough possession. This call did have a debatable football move after the catch but still got ruled incomplete. AR wasn't close.

Trubisky took a ton of sacks holding onto the ball because he is clueless about reading a defense and being able to get rid of the ball. He was bad, it was time to replace him

Montgomery is my best shot and he is going to have to pull off a few 100+ games to make it happen. I think it's going to be close either way (900-1100), but Charles Leno is certainly trying his best to mess this up for me.

Oh that's easy: Leno comes here all the time, saw our bet, and is so sick of the shit here that he is tanking for a clean up day on CCS...

(just fucking around. I honestly have zero clue what I would do with power; I have NO interest in doing anything even to the low level posters who insult me with no engagement to my football thoughts. Would mod powers bring First Timer and rory back? That's what I would do.)

That rule got changed. It doesn’t apply anymore.

I backed Trubisky and honestly thought this year he could turn it around. But i think it was time to make the change. Either way i hope the best for him and still would back him if he comes back in.

He did not.
Try to pay attention. He did. It was after contact with floor that he loses control. It was overturned because he "didn't make a football move" while coming down after hitting the ground.
