Go buy yourself a nice 70" TV, surround sound system, and center ice, and enjoy yourself much more, in the comfort of your own home. You'd still save money, to boot. Oh, and the beer and food is better, and MUCH cheaper. **** the Hawks' organization. I, also, haven't been to a game since 2010, and it has nothing to do with not being able to afford it.

Last game I went to sucked, and it had nothing to do with the on-ice product. That place just isn't fun for hockey fans anymore. It's chock full of stupid fucking gimmicks and sideshows. You are also surrounded by idiots that don't know shit about hockey, and do nothing but ruin your experience by being loud, obnoxious, and fucking ignorant. It's just like a Cubs' game now, actually.

While true nothing is better than being there. I think it's better than I used too, but NOTHING beats the scoring winning goal like the other night in OT when being there 25ft from it.

Most of the folks around me have been going to hockey games since before you and I were born, but I suppose there are those "new" fans. I ignore most of that, but the gimmicks and prices are driving me off. I can most definitely afford to move upstairs but I don't want too. I think more of what you describe goes on up there by far than in my section.

You can justify not gong any way you want but games like the other night, sitting at home is NOTHING like being there. Zero, ziltch, zippo....

I'm going Sunday.

Yes, there are shitbags that go to games now, but like RK said, nothing beats being there live.

I already have a 44' ... That was the first thing I purchased when I got my new place.

Here's the TV from the couch... and yes, that's my dining room table -.- The living room is somewhat tiny but it works. I can host a game anytime, as I have Center Ice.

How do you think I watch games and talk about em? Its from here.

Abso-ditily-o-lutely.

And really, I can deal with any of the "dipshits" that come to the game. Either by just ignoring, or striking up a friendly conversation veiled as educating them on the sport and fan etiquette. My wife is another story, but I love how many of the "returning" fans are shocked and taken back by her put you in your place hockey knowledge. Almost makes the price of the tickets worth it. LOL.

But man, my ass hurting over this price increase for some reason. I can afford it, but starting to feel priced out.

might just be me growing up in Toronto, but I still think that's a steal. When I watched Chicago vs Toronto at ACC three years ago I paid $150 each in the upper 300's

and that was three years ago.

Yea I was a bit shocked at the overall price at the ACC....then again, I dropped $220 CN per ticket to see a game there earlier in the season and the Leafs were not even playing the 'Hawks...

I can as well but I'm having a hard time justifying it. Nor do I agree with how they are doing it. You can not use Toronto as a comparrison because really, it's Toronto, a hockey Mecca. Chicago, is not a hockey mecca.

Not using Toronto as a comparison, just pointing out how stupid I was to pay that much per seat to see a game that did not even include the 'Hawks. But I agree that when an area lives and dies by Hockey the prices will be insane.

Yea that was more for Rex. Can not compare the Canadian Markets to any in the US. It's a completely different polar.

Toronto area has roughly 6 million in population, of which all of them or most are rabid hockey fans. (1/5th the entire population of Canada roughly)

Chicago has roughly 9 million in which maybe a 16th are hockey fans, if that.

Thank you!!! Had to get those cause if I got an actual big dining room table, there would not have been a space for the couch. I had to improvise, and where else other than IKEA can I do that? The set was pretty cheap too, so it was a win-win all around.
