Kinda my point. RB value relative to other salaries has diminished since then. I certainly wanted him back. Gotta pay if you wanna play.Forte's contract was pretty reasonable in terms of the market at the time.

Stupid forum software keeps automatically converting my link into an embedded video; losing the time offset. Start watching at 52s for the quote.

Thanks! I feel silly now . I will say that I was using the "quick reply" as opposed to the "Go advanced."Just uncheck the box at the bottom of your editor that says...."Automatically convert links into videos". :dunno:
Tillman has been getting just a little bit slower each of the past several years. He gets beat a lot more than he used to. Sucks to hear, but it's true. It's smart not to devote multiple years to him, especially with a high draft pick now waiting in the wings.
Huh? He just had a career year 2 seasons ago.
And?
And for a cornerback that never relied on speed, your statement sounds over the top....the only concerns with Tillman right now are his durability not his speed.
Don't really understand why it's so controversial to say you shouldn't shell out multi-year money to an aging, slowing cornerback, but OK.
I don't care if he's the smartest cornerback in the world---if he keeps slowing down, it's going to catch up with him and whatever team he's on. I don't want the Bears to be that team in a few years. Maybe some of you do, but I know when to let a legend go because his time is running out.
Why do you think he couldn't get a multi-year deal from ANY TEAM IN THE NFL? What do you guys know that those GMs don't?
1st day of camp and these are the articles the media writes?
